Hi, new to this forum. Have had my '01 BRG SE for ~3 years now
and put ~60K mi. on it in that time. Have been reading posts and getting familiar with the layout. A gearhead with 4 vehicles currently. The Miata was supposed to be a stock DD, how many times have you thought that to yourself?? My real 'project' car is a '67 Mustang Coupe I've been restoring/ modding for 6 years now. i think I enjoy the build as much as the driving but it's been long enough and I'm ready to drive it but keep coming up with Miata improvements that take my time.
Recently on the BRG I've pulled the Bose system, installed Clarion double DIN, door speakers and added rear bulkhead speakers; pulled the cig ligher and replaced with USB port; moved pass Airbag switch for a cubby space; fixed floppy cup holders (NB2); replaced boots; Eclipse vents, etc.
Now I'm working on mod/install of '06 RX8 Shinka seats (leather/Acantara inserts/seat heaters/lumbar). I'm 6/1" so really trying to get these seats to sit all the way to the floor. Having to chop/mod the seat frames to get what I want.
Installed MSM Bilsteins/springs, RB front sway, Energy poly diff mounts. Future upgrades are an SC, soon....
That's about the state the BRG is in now, still pulling DD duty every week and weekend fun. Oh and this is the car my pups prefer to cruise in on the weekends:
