These are so damned cool! I'd just want to sit in my Miata looking at them all night instead of going to my bed.

I saw these in person and it's better than the pictures. It was In the daytime though. Amazing work. Came in expecting the fallen from transformers especially from you haha.

Why that name? or I skipped to pics too quickly

Here is a great read on the history of the falling of cherry blossoms: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/...ld-to-emotion/

The daimyo (or warlord) Asano Naganori captured this sentiment before committing ritual suicide:

“Sadder than blossoms swept off by the wind, a life torn away in the fullness of spring.”

Why "The Fallen"? It's not the TF character. It comes from the old samurai story that blowing sakura petals are the souls of fallen warriors. I love that. It seemed perfect for a set of blowing petal gauges.

That last line of the tsunami hit really close to home...
After going through hurricane Katrina, I can relate...

That was a great read, thank you very much for sharing that link.

Adam, I might have shed a few tears if I saw those gauges and knew the actual meaning. So fitting, beautiful, deep and powerful. 15 years to build, right?

    Another masterpiece!
