2016 Mazda MX-5 Reimagined as a Hardcore Coupe
The verdict is out, and people love the plucky new Mazda MX-5. It’s lighter, quicker, and overall better looking. But deep down, I think we’re all curious to see what a coupe version would look like. Thankfully, we have Yasid Design to help us with that.
He calls it the Mazda MXX5. While it’s not a direct coupe iteration of the MX-5 roadster, it uses the same chassis, and takes many cues from the Mazda we know and love. The final product is a hardcore sports coupe, with some more aggressive lines that will leave you drooling.
The front end is decisively more aggressive, using some cues from the roadster, while the backend opens up to really show off that sportback styling. If they haven’t already, this is definitely an idea Mazda should be looking in to. We’ll take ten of them.
