Cool Newbie to miata's and this forum

Hello, I have owned a MGB for 42 yrs. Last week I drove 9 1/2 hrs (one way) to pick up a 2008 PRHT auto. MX5 in galaxy gray. The ride home was definitely much more fun than the ride there. So far it is stock, but would look better lowered some. I love driving this car, basically a much improved, modernized, upgraded MGB. Let the good times roll. With the help of forums like this, hopefully I can improve my Miata and avoid some of the pitfalls along the way.thanks in advance for any advice I am sure to pick up along the way.

Thanks for the welcome Phatmiata. What kind of wheels are you running? Those look like a semi spoke hybrid. I like.

if you are talking about his profile picture, those are the factory 93le 14 inch BBS wheels. BBS rs are the 3 piece wheels that would come in sizes to suit the nc better. Hope you enjoy it here and enjoy your new car

Thanks for the welcome guys. I do have a question about the forum. Why does a topic open at the bottom of the string of replies, you have to scroll up to get to the beginning of the replies.

Most people here seem to like it that way. It can't be changed.

Just a little different is all. The top button at the bottom makes it more
    better though.

Probably hard to make out in the small photo but they are BBS wheels, they came factory on the '93 Limited Edition and 95 M-Edition miatas.

Welcome to the forum, and enjoy your new car. If you haven't already, you might want to check into joining a local Miata Club. The Dayton area has the Miami Valley Miata Club and the Columbus area has the Buckeye Miata Club. Plus there is a huge Miata get together in July, 24th-thru-26th this year, called Miatas at the Gap held each year at Deals Gap, NC at the Tennessee/ NC state line.

I have had my 1980 MGB-LE for 29 years and a many many between then and now.
Ran with the dark prince for many years and certainly rolled many a fuse.
also well versed in checking the oil in my carbs. ;)
Miatas changed that, since they're as fun as a MGB and more reliable than a Honda.

Welcome, and remember if there is oil under your MX-5 it not normal.

Dealer installed new Diff. Because of whine issue covered in service bulletin. Cost me around $700.00, supposed to be half price, but I think the Diff. And installation would be more than that. The car had original tires on from 2008, just put Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's on. Car rides much better now, also road noise is less.
