    New hachirouko project

Thought i should share whats going on now when the miata is gone.

It's a Toyota GT86 i picked up from the dealer in the late 2013 to replace my daily + miata back then. For various reasons i decided to keep the Miata but got really tired of it in the end of 2014 so sorted out some minor problems i had over the fall and once winter was over i put it out for sale. It's new owner picked it up earlier this month so now I finally have some money to put into the new project!

The car is being built to perform well on the track but still be able to use as a daily all year around.
First thing i've got was a TRD shift knob, STI gurney flap and some rays lugnuts.

I never really liked the silver trim panels in the interior so after i found out that some JDM/AUDM models are delivered with black interior trim i had to have those! After some digging i managed to get the part numbers and put an order on amayama.com and had them in my hand within a week.

    Euro standard interior shot

And with the JDM/AUDM panels fitted

Also installed the STI gurney flap. Transforms that horrible OEM spoiler to atleast look "OK" until i can afford a ducktail bootlid to replace with.

Then I got some adjustable LCA for the rear from SPC and camber bolts for the front from Whiteline. Will install these when the coilovers are ordered and fitted.

Placed an order for new wheels on 2/4. Was told by the vendor that there was some delays in the production line so instead of the 45-70 days waiting time there was a 100+days waiting which meant i would have them in mid july. Was really surprised when I got the tracking number last week and yesterday they finally arrived!

Had a really hard time what to get but finally decided for these Rays TE37SL in 18x9.5 all around. Would really like to throw them on the car right away but unfortuneatly they will hit the oem front strut so they will have to wait until i get the coilovers next month. Until then i will have them wrapped in 265/35 R18 rubber all around and once installed, take it out for it's first day on track!

Man. It took me a while to notice the subtle difference in the black interior trim panels.
