New Guy (PNW) Western Washington
How's it going everyone?
Well, I am fairly new to the Miata world, but not the car world in general.
I got into it after borrowing my friends Miata. I drove it for about two weeks while my other car was getting repaired. In that two weeks I fell in love with the car. It brought back good memories I had with my dad when I was a kid and I would "help" him with his 65 Mustang.
I took it around to my parents and when I told him that he immediately said buy it, and I didn't hesitate. So that was a few months back. But now this car is my side girl. My fiancι is finally warming up to it. She loves driving with top down and anyone around me can attest to the fact that the past few weeks have been very top down worthy for us in the Pacific North West.
That being said I'm here to make friends with like minded individuals, go to meets, put in time under the hood. I plan on updating and upgrading it. First mission is to replace the head gasket, spark plugs, wires, and ignition coils and at the same time upgrade the brake system. I also want to switch out the lowering springs for coil overs, I really want that aggressive stance I see on some of the other Miata's, maybe a sway bar at the same time. I already have the all gold wheels I want. I may begin slight exterior work on it like removing the small dents. I really need to switch out the seats or get them reupholstered because my buddy tore those seats up. Then I'll be replacing the soft top, swapping out the stock headlights for flip up projector HID's, put on a lip kit, and just go from there to engine modification and paint and all that stuff.
I have some high hopes for my Miata, but this seemed like a great place to talk about those hopes.

Your interior looks clean from the pic on your profile. What have you done to it if you don't mind me asking?
