    You guys are good.
There are chrome striker plates up there! There are chrome defrost grilles, but one is peeling.
There is a black top boot, a bra, a tan full toneau cover, a couple of car covers and a half-wood stock wheel, too.

    Here's some pics: http://chris.chemidl.in/

I will probably post the items for sale here now that you mention it. I won't be using all of these things, so I'll circulate them back into the community.

I've been bashing away at the damage today trying to get this thing to look respectable to live in my driveway for a while (HOA).

I'll post up pics tomorrow of my progress. No one will mistake it for a nice car, but it at least looks like a car.

    Better.
I was able to take it down the street - now I need to re-install the radiator...

I'll harvest the cool parts this week, too.

Any idea what this wheel is out of?

    Thanks.
That wheel is out of an early RX3. I've got the same style, but wood rimmed. You can sorta see it on the ground in front of my car at the first All-Florida meet.

Could that be an Autopower rollbar? I don't remember how those attached, but they were rather narrow like yours. They also didn't usually have any diagonals, like yours.

Randy: good eye. Just saw this thread over here. I've been looking on m.net every few days, puzzling over that rollbar.

Yeah, sorry for the X-post. I had the thread started there, but there were no bites at first.
I brought it here, and within 6 minutes, there was a conversation!

I dug around to look at some Autopower installs... it looks like those front feet mount on the floor for the car.
I suppose it's a possibility that someone made this bar. The tonneau was modified to fit the bar, so maybe they also made the rollbar cover.

Jason, I'll send you a PM in a few minutes. I've looked around and I have a question about the value of these steering wheels.

Looks like I did take a photo of my wheel. I found it in my "sale" photo section, so I may have sold it.

This thread is both wonderful and heart breaking at the same time. You obviously know a little about Miatas (the white one in the garage) and you have a gem of a car with this BRG. It's almost a shame to piece her out instead of fixing her up and having a show stopper. She already has some amazing parts, like a time capsule, of rare and out of production bits. I would love to see her whole again. Good luck with what ever you decide to do... I'll be watching.

I agree with Wasabi and am also in disbelief of this unique find. This car is definitely repairable and would be perfectly safe to drive. It would be a shame to see this car being taken apart to pieces.
Fix it up bud, carry the torch and let the flame burn!!

    Thanks guys.
This car is more serious than it looks.

    F58828606.jpg
First, this front clip is what this car needs. A local has one that he'll let go for $100.
Then it needs to be welded on.
Then it needs to be put on a rack to check it's straight.
    Then it needs fenders.
    Then it needs a bumper
And a radiator (that isn't crescent shaped)
And an AC condensor / dryer
    And a hood
    And hood hinges
And headlight lids (I have headlight assemblies)
    And an air diverter
    And a top
    And paint

I've got a '93 LE (black car in the garage) and a 90 Miata Challenge car (white car in the garage)...
    -------
Maybe it's the area, but there's clean chassis' available on Craigslist for about $1k...
Even though it's a BRG, I could never justify the cost to fix this. Maybe someone else will. Maybe someone will cut the whole front clip off and put a tubular one on for a drift or track car.

A bunch of you fellas will end up with the cool old chrome bits, and the car will be sold locally as a stock, running, driving car that needs repair for less than $1000. I'll include the headlight assemblies, too. I can't imagine someone will be able to get the headlights in without replacing the front clip, though. It's that damaged.
I'm almost finished putting it back to stock (the taillight wiring is horrid and the power mirrors were just snipped), I'll post up things as I clean/ photograph/ box them.
