    Cool Whip!

Back in 2008, a picked up a '90 with damaged barn doors for $500, from the original owner……it was named "Cool Whip" by her kids.
It sat in my hanger until Oct 2014 when I sold one of my 93LE and needed a daily.
Put a battery in it and it drove ok right out of storage.
I had the dreaded white peel so I threw some primer on it temporarily.
Of course had to have fun with it so it got the "Gulf Livery"

This past weekend I blew it apart and started to build what Cool Whip will become.
Heres a list of what it got on Memorial day 2015.
    AST coilovers
    Jongbloed 9x15 w/RS3s 225/45/15
    urethane bushings throughout
    blueprinted hubs
    braided lines brake/clutch
tubular RB Big Red Sway (front/no rear)
    Light Flywheel
    Cat delete resonator
    Drilled 1.6 rotors, w/race pads
    Torsen 4.30
    JDM 5sp w/short shift
    3" exhaust
    Carbing rear brace
    RB lower front brace

Next ill address the body and paint.
and drop the '02 NB2 lump in it when I can get a MS3 to breath life into it.
    Stay tuned!

Just temporary, I had some Atomic Orange on the shelf in the shop and well……………
It will be going back White before Miata's at Hallett.
I had suede flames on my 93LE for a while do to Shiner Bock. ;)

Just scored a bored 10:1 performance rebuilt bottom and a fresh R&Red 2000 head shaved .02.
Squaretop and RB header to be added.
Still need to source a 90-93 Squirt.

While sitting in "CoolWhip" installing a set of RevLimiters "Warbird" gauges, my Bulldog alerts to the faint sound of radial engines.
Soon the B-29 "FIFI" comes right over Propwash and does a few touch and go's at AFW.
    How ironic is that?
While its not uncommon to have warbirds roaring and smoking up Propwash, the timing was impeccable.
Four R-3350s made the perfect soundtrack.
