04-15-14: Received some East Coast Miata turn signal intakes from a member on another forum and he had them painted black and even though I had planned on leaving them that way there was "road damage", so I decided to remove paint and do a slight brushed finished using a drill w/ wire cup. Also, noticed the turn signal lens was a little loose, so removed them and cleaned off old silicone and put new silicone for a tight seal.
    Before:

    After:

For comparison sake, stock passenger side turn signal and driver side TSI installed:

Both East Coast Miata TSI's installed:

04-16-15:I work nights at a water treatment plant located by the Belton Lake so every morning I drive over the dam and always think this would be a good place for pictures of Warbird, so I stopped and did just that today since I had my camera with me.

*I know the wheel gap is horrendous but my FCM coilovers are SUPPOSE to be done this week.

04-25-14:After A LOT of hard work and persistence on the part of Steve aka Risingsun124 and the folks @ Project-G I finally received the first Project-G COP engine plug cover! I opted for a non etched machine finish, along with a Project-G 1.1 Series oil cap in the same finish. I really can't say how much I appreciate Steve and everyone else at Project-G for taking on this project when they have so much going on. Also, thanks to Bryan with Fab9 on getting my order out ASAP and sending to Project-G for test fitting, now for pictures!

Fab9 COP PNP kit, Project-G Precision Series COP engine plug cover, Project-G Precision Series 1.1 oil cap, Project-G fitted ball cap, Project-G license plate frame and #swag certificates aka stickers!

    Fitted on valve cover:

    w/ oem Mazda chrome bolts:

I think the valve cover, plug cover and oil cap blend together well, maybe too well, so im considering polishing the plug cover and oil cap or maybe powder coating the valve cover. Keep in mind I will match the intake manifold and the MP62 discharge housing to the valve cover, more than likely.

04-26-14:I also received this yesterday but didn't make it to the apartment office before they closed. They will be glad when I move because one of the girls in the office seems to get annoyed by how often I am in there getting packages.

Used Moroso coolant tank bought off another forum member and its in great shape.

Just got this package minutes go, thank you FedEx man! From 949 Racing, SuperMiata endlinks and OEM alignment bolts.

Geez I need a garage, I have at least a weeks worth of work putting all the parts I have on the car.

05-02-14: Received these eBay "euro" taillights from another forum member and im going to attempt some TRAP/ZOOM/Simpson Design style taillights which I got the idea from a fellow Texan.

    As received used:

After baking them in oven @ 200 degrees to separate lens:

Still have to remove more glue and plan on using bondo to fill gaps and uneven spots and I know laying it on thick/deep is asking for trouble but this is a project after all. Any recommendations from experience with body work is welcomed.

I also decided to give a go at polishing my valve cover and whoever said its time consuming made a gross understatement. So far I just have used one of the three(black, brown/red and white) recommended compounds and have already spent at least 4 hours polishing with a electric drill w/polishing attachments:

05-10-14: Mileage: 97,730: So I decided to go ahead and install my suspension even though I had considered waiting till I get a house, my house hunting may FINALLY be over after 3 months, but I couldn't wait.

A long story short: It took me approx. 12 hours from start to finish with 5 of those hours getting assistance from a friend. The actual removal of the stock strut assemblies and sway bar and end links removal and installation of new parts was easy and took maybe 4-5 hours w/o issues. The rest of the time was prep work like jacking up the car to get it on jack stands, removing front under tray, spraying penetrating spray on all bolts, removing trunk liners and other misc. items to get access to top rear strut bolts then adjust the adjustable end links, installing RB blocks and adjusting ride height.

I decided it wasn't taking long enough so I snapped a rear passenger side tophat stud. I knew when I was using the torque wrench set at 25 ft/lbs that it didn't feel right but I kept going and the stud snapped and upon looking closer saw that the nut had started to shear the edges so ya not 25 ft/lbs. I called Shaikh and he said he could send me a stud express priority mail or send me a new top hat assembly or I could try to get a new M8x1.25 1'' stud or get a bolt if I couldn't locate a stud. I opted to try and get a stud locally but since it was Saturday around 8 PM CST there wasn't any bolt supply sellers open so a auto parts store was my only option and I went to Advance Auto but they didn't have any studs that small so I got a Grade 8 10.9 bolt and flanged nut. Other than that and my difficulty adjusting the end links, everything else was pretty simple and straight forward. Now for pictures:

Fat Cat Motorsport's 375 lbs 7"F/325 lbs 7''R 2040 series coilovers, Racing Beat tubular front sway bar 1.125''/28.575mm w/ urethane busings, RB sway bar blocks, 949 Racing SuperMiata adjustable end links and OEM alignment bolts

Ryoku Rob Type II rear tow hook being used as a jack point, it was very sturdy

    Dirty trunk....

    Clean trunk!

    The devils in the details!!

Front passenger side suspension with Racing Beat tubular 1.125''/28.575mm sway bar and Racing Beat sway bar blocks

First impressions...fantastic! You still know you go over un-even spots, bumps, pot holes, etc but the coil overs take the abuse and not your back. Turn in is sharp, precise and confidence inspiring but I have only driven it approx. 15 miles and haven't pushed it hard since I want to make sure nothing falls off. I will give on going impressions/review of my setup.

05-11-14:Ride height is currently an approx. 12''F/12.25"R and may raise 0.25'' F & R, time will tell.

More suspension pics! It was my understanding of Racing Beat(for sway) and 949 Racing instructions to aim for making the sway and endlinks to create a 90 degree angle which I think I achieved so I adjusted the end links(I think) according to 949 Racings instructions but the fronts are adjusted much shorter(4'' or so) than the rear, the rear I basically adjusted to the same length as the stock end links(approx. 5'') and tweaked ever so slightly but I have the rear bar angled like it was from the factory so is this ideal? (aiming for the bars and end links creating a 90 degree angle)

    Front driver side suspension:

    Front driver side lower control:

Seems pretty close to parallel to the ground.

    Rear driver side suspension:

As you can see its almost adjusted at the bottom of the threaded sleeve so this is not a solution to achieve "slammed status".

Once again it looks like the control arm is parallel to the ground to my eyes at least.

I almost picked up inner tie rods, outer tie rods, lower ball joints and upper ball joints for a one time job but decided against it or rather my bank account did. Glad I did though because they all seem to be in decent shape, no tears in the rubber and most of the rubber bushings looked good to so one day.

05-15-14:Ok raised the car by 0.5'' and it did make a pretty big difference in its ride quality. I took pics and measurements and though they may not be a huge help to others, you never know.

05-16-14:I have only put approx. 10+ miles since I changed the ride height but can tell a significant difference in ride quality, which is saying something considering how much better it rode/drove over stock when it was even lower. Shaikh made this setup to be at 12.5''F/12.75''R for optimal performance but I can bring myself to have it that high but he said if the ride quality/handling is acceptable then I can leave it be.

Shaikh has been very quick to get back with me when I have contacted him for assistance with both the install and adjustments, in fact I think customer service has gotten even better since receiving them which is usually when customer service degrades from the seller, so that says a lot about Fat Cat Motorsports. The personal attention is once reason I chose Fat Cat Motorsports and I haven't been disappointed. Any downfall(that's not the most suitable terminology) in the setup has been due to my lack of experience and not being clear on ride height goal, Shaikh built the setup that we discussed to meet the needs I expressed, so I am very pleased. I will give a more in depth review of the setup once I have more miles on it. If you read this Shaikh, thanks a bunch sir!
