Where to get, "Dash" gauge pods?

Any alternative achievable tidy solution to KG's triple dash pods? I know Adam tried something but he got his pod cover set made for him by another forum member in UK with offset to left.

KGW shows sold out of course.

Found out mx5roadsters.net used to make them but not sure if they are still around or making them. I know David bought these so I wait for him to give feedback.

    Cheers

I have a GV triple gauge pod which sits atop the dash that I haven't yet used. That could be an option to cutting up your crash pad.

I have a spare crash pad and 3 sexy gauges that I took off my subaru sti before selling it. Its black so you dont see anything but red when powered and needles go all the way back to the end on power and return back to their set location, just like subaru sti cluster gauges. Completely cosmetic upgrade. I will look into top mount option if this didnt work out. Cheers buddy for letting me know.

I struggled with the same issue of a good place to have them out of the way but still easy to see. I picked up some ebay pods for 4 bucks each

made a mount to them on the side of the IP out of hardware store angle brackets.

    and plumbed them up.

with just enough room to clear the tombstone

The camera is in front of me but to the eye the gauges are not blocked at all.

They have been hanging there for the last 15,000 miles with no issues at all. For 8 bucks I am super happy with it.

I'm still testing the ones in Sharka to make sure they don't shatter in heat or whatever. They've held up to paint booth heat quite nicely so far.

But yeah, I'll be selling these very soon.

    Adam,

Any chance you could come up with a version that would be functional and look good in an NA8? Given the different dash design and the passenger-side airbag, I know that that's a tall order, but if anyone could do it, it would be you.

Im using this on NA8 as well but mine doesnt have airbag (1993). I thought NA8 and NA6 crash pads are the same size? Well in my case at least.

1993 is a NA6, if I am not mistaken. NA8 is completely different, having an airbag hatch on the passenger side and a curved tombstone, while not having the crash pad NA6 had.

I can assure you that my car is NA8 and manufactured in 1993, but, you are also right as USA or Europe markets were delivered NA8 from 94. I am from Australia. Mazda Australia imported these from Japan back in 93 for people who paid deposit for NA8 delivery but didnt get their cars on time due to some local issues which I cant remember. So my car has the import plate on it but says "Imported by Mazda Australia". From 1994 onward, they were made to Australian market specification. So no airbags in my car and im pretty sure that internals are identical (look the same) to my NA6 but not sure about the measurements.

Mine are a urethane copy of the fiberglass ones Vindi (Russell) has made in the UK. I contacted him before hand and made sure he didn't mind me doing them.

Mine will only be for NA6. They look like what Sharka has now.

Any idea on when yours will be available? Otherwise would you have a link to his shop? Cheers
