I know that. What I'm saying is Matt has a huge turbo with what I can only imagine has very little usable power band.

I actually bought something. I've been saving but couldn't pass these up.

I was always a fan of Warbird and I am pleased to own a piece for it to live on. Rumor also has it that the harness was from Scrat.

Glad they arrived safe and sound, Corey! Actually the whole kit came from Scrat, which Adam777 and brontasaurus bought and parted out.

I personally would upgrade the bulbs before installing with like some Sylvania SilverStar bulbs, kept meaning too but never got around to it. Imo, the biggest pain was getting the headlight lids adjusted. Just fyi, to remove the whole headlight frame you just need to remove the motors that are secured with x3 10mm bolts and then x4 14mm bolts that hold the frames in.

You have no idea how much time you saved by buying this setup vs new or someone else's since the harness(MUCH better than the wiring originally included from Cobalt) is pnp(just hook up the x2 12v wires to the 12v supply on the fuse box under the hood and x2 ground wires, plug in the bulbs and that is it) and the modified frames ready to bolt in.

Of course I had to modify the headlight frames, so it took me probably 2-3hrs to install. It will probably take you half that or less. If you have any questions hit me up via email or IG and I can give you my cell number for quicker/easier communication.

I really hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Well as Scrat was one of my biggest inspirations, that is an added surprise to my purchase.

I am looking forward to installing them this week hopefully and may try to upgrade the lights before then.

I have the same set from Toolman's wrecked 93LE. One light bucket was slightly bent, but easily fixed. However, it didn't come with the arms or the acuating hardware, so I had to ghettofab up some of my own. Maybe now is a good time to do RevLimiter's high beam mod and fashion some better fastereners.

I have also been thinking of going to LED bulbs once I find some with the appropriate lumen output.

I used to have the gauge cluster out of Scrat, and Adam made me a matching HVAC panel. When I sold my last miata they went with it. Though I'm not sure where that car is anymore.

Well. I got the lights half on.

I ran into a pretty big wall when it came to doing the passenger side. The last bolt. My intercooler piping makes it a tight fit, and there's a lip that makes it impossible to get a straight wrench on it, and it's too tight to get a ratchet on it. Removing the pipe means removing my bumper and fender so I'm trying to avoid that.

I was able to get a gearwrench on it but it rounded. So now I'm looking to borrow a friend's EZ Red wrench in order to try it again when I'm not aggravated.

    So I finished the install....

I love the look and the lights.

    Some adjusting is still needed.

Here are the lids when down. Driver is good, passenger.....

I'm not sure quite yet how to adjust these, but you can see the issue where it appears the light isn't coming up all the way.

    Driver

    Passenger

I noticed the passenger moves up and down a fair amount when driving, the drivers side seems to be solid.

Congrats.. looks great Corey. Am sure you'll figure out the height issue. How's the beam pattern/ light output?

It's been a bit, but I've done some stuff to prepare for MiataPalooza, last minute, of course.

So I've been boosted on borrowed time.

The factory radiator has been turning colors, and was a ticking time bomb. As some may remember, I picked up a CSF radiator and the FM shroud kit. They'd been sitting in my closet for at least 6 months. With MP coming up, it was time.

Week before MP, taking the car apart, no biggie.

CSF with FM kit mounted. Looks so good.

    Slight difference here.

These were the lovely hoses I had apparently been using.

These will do a little better.

    Oooooohhhhhh........Ahhhhhhhhhhhh........

And of course we had to test the fans.......

I have to give it to both CSF and Flyin' Miata. FM's kit was complete, and had great instructions. The CSF is just beautiful. The pairing is something I think would be hard to top.

Also. Turbos make jobs much harder. I had to take the turbo off the manifold to get one of the hoses off. It was such a pain. But so worth it.

Been a long time since I've updated. But I'm alive.

Lobo currently is not. But hopefully will be next week.

About 4 months ago I broke up with my ex. Unfortunately I had to live with her for a little over 3 months due to the lease. I didn't think it took a toll on me but it definitely did. I became a recluse, and withdrew myself from nearly everyone and everything.

About a month ago, I was giving a girl I was dating (now my girlfriend) a ride for the first time in Lobo, and for the first time since I've owned it, it broke down. The alternator gave up. A good friend brought a spare battery, and I limped it to his house.

And there Lobo has sat since then. I was too busy with my move to even think about working on it.

But today I went and had the reunion, and removed the culprit.

    The culprit.

The alternator was dropped off at a shop to be rebuilt and will be picked up next week, and Lobo will be brought to its new home.

I must give a very late but large thank you to Peter for this great housewarming gift. Last night was my first night staying in the new house, and it was on display.
