    new member - first Miata

It took me a while to figure out how to post.
Last year I purchased a 2000 SE with only 32k miles - like new.
It is to have limited driving to retain its value, but it is fun.
I am chasing a problem with the check engine light - catalyst bank.
First indication was the upstream oxy sensor - replaced but still problem.
Shop said it was fixed , but check engine light back on.
Texas requires inspection before license renew. Check Engine light - no pass.
    I would like to drive.
Anyone else have a similar problem?
    thanks,
    dave-TX

I must have missed how this welcome thing started, I see it the past couple days, and I'm laughing on my own.

It is the 2000 Special Edition - I like that color - mahogony mica.
I am not sure what you mean by the code - NB?
Yes, I have a 62 skylark convertible - total restoration, and a 62 hardtop near completion.
    We have a yahoo group - skylark616263.
I also have a few more cars - 53 chevy hardtop - frame off restoration.
40 ford pickup - 70's show car, and a 46 ford sedan undergoing frame off restoration, plus a couple more.

take it to advanced auto parts store to have them read the error code it's free

you can also have them clear the code
if it doesn't return get the car inspected

or you can try disconnecting the battery to clear the error code

or you can buy a code reader
