    Keep that NA conversation going

Let's get a Random chat started about NA Miatas, it can be about anything as long as its NA Miata related................. and begin .........

Ok so I drove my NA pretty hard today since it hasn't been driven in a while (2 days), a yellow light and sweeping uphill right hand corner was clear for me so I just went for it downchangin revmatching into second, turn the wheel, I can hear the front tires squeeling and beginning to understeer, I give it some more throttle, now the rear end starts stepping out but ever so progressively, on exit the tail wags a bit, but straighten up onto the main road of the busy intersection, at least 50+ cars plus pedestrians onlooking... thinking to myself, yeah goddamn, so good, I love 185 profile tires, just the right amount of skinny and no grip to have fun.

Next traffic light i stopped and all the cars behind me who witness my majestic drift (no doubt convincing them to go out and buy a miata/mx5) caught up. I thought, hmmm, should I just go for it again?

Burnout and rip it right? Nah my car is a BRG, its way too classy for that.

wouldn't want to tarnish the reputations of my other fellow gentleman BRG brothers right?

Sounds like a lot of fun. I ought to do the same with mine. Take it out and just devour a few unsuspecting intersections.
I've been remodeling my house for about the last 3 months getting it ready to put on the market so my Miata had been extremely deprived of attention this summer.
Isn't the law enforcement pretty severe in their punishment for for traffic violations down under?

In my generation or at least for some of us we may find that a bit too permissive. That is allowing your emotions to be justified by "I got skills or see what I can do with this" in a way that may put some someone in jeopardy including deliberately getting someone else's attention. Now if there is a desire for such may be an autocross would be more appropriate or a more remote area where there is more control and no pedestrian as possible. Just randomly thinking and saying.....lol

    Be safe brothers......

had money saved up for a sweet rollbar, and some sexy SSR wheels pop up for sale in the perfect offset for my flares.

Long story short I could have bought several rollbars for this kinda money, ugh

I know... And you're probably right but sometimes, while driving a beautiful road-hugging roadster you just want to ignore the brake and let it roll! I agree that driving on public roads is a great responsibility and believe me, I've payed for doing stupid stuff on the road.
Nowadays when I do get to enjoy a nice drive it's usually on a back country road, which we have plenty of here, later in the afternoon to enjoy the sun going down, the fresh air and my wife sitting next to me. Picture perfect!
I'm pretty much done with the crazy antics of my past years. Just want to enjoy life.

Went to Jackson Racing to get a new supercharger pulley. I need to make all the boosts.

Had a nutjob in a S2000 want to race. Lucky for me there was another nutjob in a Civic SI there to accommodate him. The S2000 guy stalled it and the Civic got a jump on him. The S2000 caught him just as traffic blocked the second lane. The guy in the S2000 decided to pass in the bike lane, and the Civic swerved to block. The S completed the pass, which was remarkable considering he did not have any room between the curb and the Civic. I thought they were going to fight at the next light, but the Civic turned right and the S2000 gave chase. Whole lot of stupid going around there.

My friend has been borrowing my Miata for about a month now while his VW R32 has been broken. I get the car back tomorrow! Can't wait to drive it!

I still want a 91 BRG, I have an entire interior waiting to go in one, there was a nice looking one that popped up today for $4000 but always when I dont have the play money. Anyone have BBS wheels on a BRG? I bet it would look super classy!

I blew the horn in my Miata today, at a lady that sat threw a whole green light cycle, and then the light turned green again and it still took her about 20 seconds to go, I was about to get out and go check on her, was starting to think she died behind the wheel or something.

on another note, I plan on custom building me a box for my cone filter on my intake, the previous owner put a cone on it and lost the factory box and I like the sound of the cone but I hate the billion degree air it draws in just being open so I am going to design a box that works in tandem with a headlight door that has a vent in it.

Yes and No. Depending on your demeanor/behavior. I've never had any problems with the popo down here and always find them pretty chill.

Have to agree there, the 'mx5 moment' got the better of me that time, (it doesn't happen all the time I see a clear way I promise lol). Safe driving everyone and never try to reach your limits on the public road.

Was originally going for an S-Limited look with my miata (black car and gold/bronze wheels)

Still gonna do that, just with a little more flare

Nothing crazy on the wheels since I still want function. They are 15x8
