Since the motor was sitting for a couple of months, I dropped some oil into the combustion chamber and through the oil filter and head then manually circulated the oil around to try and coat everything as best as possible. Then did the timing belt + water pump

logged in about 1800 miles since first start a week ago. shook the car down at Willow Springs on Sunday and nothing went wrong so I was confident enough to take Zilla out to Miatas @ MRLS 2015!

personal lesson. MSMs are not "naturally slow"... It may just have a boost leak.

Didnt really have the desire to spend money on the FM intake so. just made one from scratch.

Emmiiii! I want an alignment. j/k. Didn't realize this was the previously red car. I remember the first OCINO or 2 I went to...and you made the car go sideways out of the parking lot...I was like...WTF. And then you wanted to race me on the freeway on the way home . Time sure does fly. NA's gone now though...have a white NB1.

2 way 30x30 adjustable. most likely going to go with 12/8 spring rates. Working on valving for mass production so expect months and months of testing before you hear anything about these becoming mass production.

Finished my exhaust from downpipe back. Car is now catless straight 2.5" with the Megan Racing downpipe + Catback exhaust combo.

So with the boost leak fixed, intake and exhaust. I'm sitting at a decent and reliable 164whp 157ft lbs of tq. With torque surging in from about 3500 rpm. There's definitely a lot more usable power than with the rotrex kit. But im not done yet.

^the remnants of the glorious donor car. good tip: walk into the home depot and buy the most expensive sawzall blade there. 1 hour with a carbide tipped blade shredded the crap out of this thing.

As I'm getting closer and closer to getting most of the small issues ironed out. I'm gaining more and more confidence in the car mechanically and just having fun. Buttonwillow and Laguna Seca back to back weekends. Just straight killin it.
