Beautiful BRG. Good luck with sale. Might be tough to get that number, but it is a nice car.

I think that's a reasonable price for California

Maybe it is, I'm not sure of the market over there. I'm going on what I paid for my 5spd BRG w/hardtop and many other accessories.

Thanks for the comments. As you know it's a great car to drive. It was my opening number...negotiable. I have seen similar cars listed in the area around that price.

The price may be a tad high, but it's better to start off higher. It'll "weed" out the low-ballers (hopefully).

Are you the original owner, jmebuffington? Records? Personally, I love finding cars with good stories (sounds like this car has been very special for you and your family).

We are the second owners. My father ran a large automotive group dealership in Northern California. I was leasing a Mercury Capri (a wanna be Miata) and the lease was up the week before our wedding. I couldn't afford the Miata new, thus the Mercury lease - the ONLY time i had ever bought a car not from dad (he sold everything but Mazdas.) So when the 1991 BRG Miata showed up on his used lot from a nice lady with low miles, he set it aside for me. My husband and I decided to make the purchase even though we were paying school loans, putting the whole honeymoon on credit, and had only pennies to our name. We didn't really buy wedding gifts for one another but considered this car our gift to each other - perfect for lovebirds. I had to stop driving it when I was 8 months pregnant and my Dad convinced me to lease a Honda Accord from him. DEVISTATING!!! Since 2002 the car has seen very little drive time. I love the car too much to just let it sit longing to be driven. I have since moved on to another convertable with a backseat, so our family of three can enjoy drives to the beach and around town together. Not sure that this will help sell the car, but I have started to get calls and interest. I feel my days with my BRG are numbered. Happy to share our happy memories with those that care.

Just make sure you sell it to the right person. Would hate to see this car mistreated. I think with the history and the overall condition of the car, 5000 is a reasonable number for the California summer market.

Gaaaaaah I would love to have this Miata. It's the perfect candidate for a full restoration. I have a brand new in the box tan carpet from Mazda, Tan Doors panels, tan seats, dash, everything.

what is the pointy board saying about this car in the Pricing and Dealer Discussion?

I bet nobody can link this due to the strict Censorship over there.

I bet you would like to, but not ready to sell this tan interior just yet. I wanted a project Miata I could restore with one of my kids.

Can you post the VIN number in case someone wants to look up the history on Carfax and what not?

Pretty sure the 1991-SE Miata was the later crank as well? the good one that is....

I dont have enough time for a big project like that, would prefer an example like this that just needs a quick re-fresh
