I guess you will have to cut back on the "Kirin."

I have a size 31" waist and when I got my new seat straight from Nakamae san I had to sit in it for a few weeks or so to finally break them in. They were super uncomfortable to break in, like they actually hurt!

Buyers beware... only for the slim and trim!

Great seats btw Randy! Maybe I'll ask Maxime if he can try to source me some vent grommets from Nakamae San so i can have them installed on my type s seats by a reputable shop.

Very nice Randy. Are they full leather? I wonder if I can order just the material from Nakamae?

So I should keep my 29" WL if I want these seats? LOL

Thanks guys, I need some motivation to get this car completed.

Druz, the red nakamae centerless transmission cover and Nielex tombstone have been sitting in the closet for 5+ years

I really want to get the rollbar and turbo installed before all the retro bling again.

So many parts, but so little money and time.

Congrats on getting your seats back. These along with your phat mesh wheels are two scores that I'm sure you are really happy about.

Installed some JDM R-Limited seat belts. I bought these probably 10 years ago, sold them to a buddy and bought them back.

So what's the big deal about these? Not much really other than these DONT have the rip stop in the seats belts since they did not get airbags in Roadsters until 1997-98

So basically for me it's easier to install these than to sit at a table cutting out the us-spec ripstop

Here is the JDM next to the US-Spec version, I am pointing to the us version with ripstop.

Below is a link to why you need to remove the ripstops

Is that a rhetorical question Randy?

Well even if it is i guess for the benefit of others the point of the 'ripstop' in air bag equipped cars is to slow the occupants momentum prior to air bag contact and lessening overall impact speed into the air bag. Now remove the airbag and it's no longer a safety feature but a risk of increased injury or this is my understanding of its function. (i still need to cut my ripstop on the driver side)

Just posting the stock setup of the Miata seat belt tower for later use in disassembly and reassembly here for when I get the rollbar.

Here is how all those washers fit where the belt mounts to the floor area.

Here is the seat belt reel in it's little cubby hole. The clear dust bag still looks brand new.
