    What a messy job. Rear main seal is shooooot. So much degreaser.

    Clutch was worn down to the recessed bolt heads.

    Waiting for Amazon to bring more parts, so for now I've been cleaning the under belly. Draining the oil. And about to shop for a timing belt kit.

    One lovely thing about this car though is just how beautiful rust-free it is

    Also, after pulling the transmission front casing off, there was a few CC's of fluid that drained out. Is this an indication of the transmission (bearings) leaking? Or is this probably from standing it up during cleaning? I just don't want put it together if this is something that could cause an issue in the future

    Wouldn't worry about it. Probably from standing it up. Like the flyweel bolts, those front casing bolts help seal those holes, new thread locker on them would be good. I know that gasket is fibrous (paper). You *could* use a light coat of high-temp sealant instead, but it would tough to get it apart in the future, though rare to ever have to do that.

    Thank goodness I finally finished something!

    Timing belt, idler/tension pulley, valve cover gasket, accessory belts, water pump, thermostat, radiator, front main seal, rear main seal, clutch, pressure plate, lightweight flywheel, bearings, flywheel bolts, trans fluid, master cylinder, slave cylinder, transmission seals, all fluids (other than power steering).

    I re-installed the Autoexe intake, and the useless speaker bar (until I install a roll bar). The interior got a nice deep shampoo and scrub. The exterior will have to wait until the next day at home.

    Also, in non-maintenance news: I have an order coming from one of my favorite shops, RetroModern USA. Ken is building me a set of NB window switches with brushed finish, and a set of side markers. Once those come in, I'll attempt the Frog Arms install.

    Not sure that I'll do a whole lot more to her, other than drive. Really want to get my truck running next.

    So the car's been running absolutely great until this morning. I go out to try to crank it up, but all it does is turn over. I decide to see if it's possibly the starter, so I push it down the driveway and the hill in my subdivision... 4 solid moving attempts with no start, only turn-over. So I go get the Subaru and try to see if it'll jump start, same thing, turns over but doesn't crank.

    Thanks what the hell could have happened between Monday and today?

    It turns over all day long "Rar-rar-rar-rar" (under it's own power, push start, and under a vehicle-assisted jump) but won't start (fire).

    Just weird that it has been running so well, to this...

    When push starting, popping the clutch did not provide the hard "bump" that would be expected. This was more muted, like I wasn't going fast enough...

    Besides the obvious fire, fuel, air, look at the crank sensor wires. I doubt this is it, but also see if the valves are moving (timing belt)
