All the way from the UK

Hi everyone, thought I'd join up here as there's a lot more going on than other forums! Anyway, I bought this 5 about 2 or 3 months ago and adore it, never fails to put a grin on my face and bugs in my teeth

A bit about me: I'm 20, this is actually my 3rd car, my 1st was a Mk1 MR2, my second was my baby a Honda Integra Type R DC2 which I sold last week and regret it with my heart! and now my lovely 5. I left uni as I was told I had to pay and couldn't afford to so now I am trying to pursue a career as a graphic designer, my company is called OSolowDesign if anyone wants to take a look, I "try" to make automotive art. My next design is of an MX5!

My MR2 - Which had 10 previous owners! and only 80k

    My DC2 - 2 owners with only 59k!

A bit about my car: Its a 90 Japanese import in Mariner blue [The smurfest colour], I've done a few mods, nothing crazy, got rid of the crappy DRLs it came with...it actually had 4 sets of lights in the grill alone which were horrid. I've put some cleaner round ones in and today I made a bracket for an offset plate...all i need now is a square plate! The speakers in the doors have also been upgraded and the stereo which was really rubbish.

Enough of the talking - here are a few pics ;)

What it looked like when I first bought it. [It doesn't really look much different to now]

Taking it for some roof down drives as you do...

Came across these beauties and had to take some snaps!

Finally what it looks like as of today.

Made the bracket from the old fog lights bracket and a few old screws.

More to come soon, I have purchased some really rare 13" wheels and a hard top...

    Thanks for reading!

Welcome! A lot of cool cars listed or shown in your opening thread. I almost bought a 1st gen Mister 2 way, way back in the early 90's. It is still one of my most memorable test drives and probably always will be because it got away. I still can't believe the dealer let me walk out without a counter offer.

Your smurf among the Z's looks great. The early Z's seem to be showing a resurgence in popularity these days and the NA has yet to lose it.

Welcome. I'm likewise from the UK. I've had a few MR2s over the years last around 13 years ago but all 2nd generation including a turbo. Look forward to seeing the 13' wheels. I'm running 13s on 2 of my roadsters.

Welcome! Might just be my browser, but some of the images are not showing. I swear I still love the Mariner blue color!

Thanks guys, yeah I love MR2s, I was born into a car crazy family hence my love for these cars. I have the first mx5 in the family though lol. Love MK2 MR2s but they were always way to expensive for a good rev3+ Maybe I'll get one next, I bought my MR2 for 200 quid! I'll upload some photos of when I put the wheels on!

I can only see a couple of pics, and please don't tease me with mentions of MX-5 related art and not share!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! AND @smy0003 here's a bit of what is coming up...! Can't show it all as I had someone copy my old designs and sell them

Still got a lot left to do to make it perfect!

Welcome Mk1! We love our brothers from the UK as much as we love Miatas (err MX-5s) and everything in between. It's our Canadian brothers to the north with their goofy hockey obsessions we worry about. I happen to love MR2s as well and I'm sure I'm not alone. By any chance, did the UK ever receive the Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky under a different name?

By the way, how do you like or dislike our NFL football exhibition games in London?
