    SHINTO - aka. WASABI II

So I was looking through Craig's List the other day... and I see this.

I emailed the seller and he sent me these pictures.

Two days later I drove 500 miles with $500.00 in my pocket to pick up my new BRG.

    I couldn't pass it up!

Two things I see wrong with the car.
    1. I don't own it.
    2. Aftermarket alarm

Man, you suck! That was an awesome deal. What is wrong with it? Infested with hunta virus spreading mice and a monkey with ebola?

You saw that too? Ha ha ha, yeah, I saw that, but also saw that this car was green... that's what made me email the seller.

When I spoke to the seller, he said the clutch went out on him, and that the AC stopped working over the summer (also the power steering became difficult). He also said it had a hardtop.

When I met the seller and saw the car, I paid immediately and got the title and bill of sale signed. The hardtop was in great condition, and was worth the asking price alone. The car itself was dirty, and there was scrapes, chips, and dents around the car. A softball sized dent in the driver's rear quarter, that's totally accessible through the trunk.

When I got it back home (my friend's garage), I could really take in what I had.

After a quick wash to get the outer layer of dirt and grime off... I was ready to dig a little deeper.

Everything was there, from the chrome door sills to the original floor mats (in very good condition). And, a new tan soft top with plastic window, not my favorite, but in great condition.

    The underside was amazingly clean!

That's a good point Martin. The top is fairly new, but I don't think it was installed correctly. I have since fixed it so it folds better.

I plan on removing the soft top because there was leaking when I washed her, but the rainrail looked fine, so I think it's clogged, or not installed right.

I know you'll take care of it I'm just jealous because you now have two BRGs and I don't have any.
