    Post your vintage/retro inspired NB

You are absolutely correct HarryB, there are several beautiful cars on this forum where I get my inspiration from especially to Adam of Revlimiter whose car is absolutely gorgeous. Thx to all the Miata enthusiast for my inspiration and my build.
HarryB, I would love to help anyway I can achieve ur build but sadly I don't have a build thread but do have lots of pictures
Let me know if you have any questions on what u see and I will do my best to answer your questions.
I will try and post some pics of my interior throughout the weeks as I'm looking to custom the centre panel console with more vintage goodies

... It maybe a little longer for this build as I get all my goodies from the US and currently the Canadian dollar for me has been at its ultimate low and looks to only get worse. Who am i kidding, I will probably buy parts soon in the new year just don't tell my wife LOL

I have ordered from Buyee a few times and they shipped very quickly and came in, in less than week. If it comes thru customs it can be held up like when i ordered from Jass Performance but they are in Estonia i think.

Where did you order from Tony? I ordered a few items off of Rakuten yesterday and received the order total (shipping is figured by seller after buying like Buyee), within 8 hours or so and paid it right away and received a shipping notification another 8 hours or so later. Hopefully will receive by next week.

kitster: I too would love to see a build thread on your beautiful NB. It is definitely more difficult to make a build thread after the fact but pics are the biggest part so even if you don't have the documentation to establish the time line I'm sure it will still be great.

I didn't mean to disrespect anyone else's car, effort and money spent. What I meant is that in my eyes it has all the right mods, the mods I would do to my NB.

This if I may say is the ultimate way to make an NB look "Retro".........this nose ties the curve lines together IMO. This is worth saving up for or even letting my R2 go and follow Harry's dream of the an NB Retro........we shall see when "SHE" arrives in my garage.......for now.......

I am kinda sure you know it, this is an S2-Racing "Japanese Cobra" kit. Pitcrew-ish, Cobra-ish but yet different.

Love the front, the overfenders and the gauges, not feeling the sideskirts and HATE the rear end and Cobra fender logos.

Yup the rear definitely needs help it is too high/tall and kinda squared. a Shorin rear will probably flow well. A different side skirt will work better for sure. But the front does carry a big load of retro which looks better than a Pitcrew NA or NB IMO. The mouth has more command of being a Cobra. It really follows the curves of the NB. I am in LOVE lol.

For some reason, the look of SSR MKII's on NB's is growing on me; got myself looking for sale ads today...

Harry the "stance is growing on you lol. It has a soft spot on me for sure......

Properly done and with some reservation it is not a bad thing. Even super cars have the stance so to speak. It it is the sticking of the tires that makes it look a bit tacky IMO.

Haha, no, not at all... I really like the wheels and only them, however I cannot find a photo with properly-sized tires at normal ride height.

Just as an update: I entered my order for the Zoom fuel lid on December 19th at night, us/eastern. It was delivered yesterday December 22nd. That does not suck for shipping at all.

I am really close on scoring an awesome deal on a set of 15" Watanabe/SSR RS-8's, super excited. Also decided to pull the trigger on a Zoom fuel lid at some point soon; Tony and Chad posting pics were a major influence! The reason I am posting though is to ask kitster (sorry for not knowing your real name mate) about the Cobra-style mirror. Found some on e-bay, but they seem a bit low quality. Also, how did you manage to mount it on the Miata windshield mount? I can CNC an arm, but would prefer an easier solution TBH...
