    Paul B's 90 NA "Build"

Well hello everyone. Been a member for a while but recently became a supporting member and was told to make a build thread. I've posted photos of my car here before but I usually just post photos from Tapatalk as I take them on my phone. So here is my "build" thread even though really I just bolt on and install stuff that I pay money for.

A little about me first and the Miatas ... I've owned a Miata since late 2004. I was 17. A black '95 that I eventually turbo'ed. Basically ruined the car because I was young and stupid but it was a perfect car to learn on. Did everything I could do to it with my low college student funds. A few years went by and then in winter of 2012 I decided to take it apart, part it out and start over. The right way. Bought a white hard top locally. Then it sat in the garage in pieces for 6 months as I struggled to find motivation to get it running in stock form.

Then March of 2013, I was with my wife when she was stationed a Dover AFB for a few months when a female friend of hers messaged her about getting rid of the Miata that her family had owned since almost new. We were the first ones she contacted. A few phone pics later and we offered her $2100 for her bone stock 1990 White NA with 88,000 miles on it. She came back with $2300 because she just had it inspected and some maintenance done on it. Fine. A week later she delivered it to us in Buffalo from Maryland. I wish I still had the pics from the day I got it home. Nothing done to it. Not even a wash, wax, interior cleaning in years. It came with minor dents and dings, some dull paint, and a beat up top. It had heat, AC, power windows and cruise control! I could work with it. It was perfect.

So fast forward to this day. The plan from the get-go with this was to not destroy it but make it look classic and vintage. Simple, clean. It would be a car shared by my wife and I so it had to be reliable and have no issues if she ever drove it. She drove it once, somehow got pulled over in it for speeding and hasn't driven it since. That was my cue to start doing what I wanted to it. I'm the only one who drives it, to and from work now since we had our son.

Some parts were swapped over from my last Miata as soon as I got it home. And 10 hours worth of polishing, washing, waxing. Even to this day I am cleaning new crevices each time I wash the car.

    "Mods":
    Interior:
Nardi Deep Corn 350mm wheel with perf. leather and red stitching.

GV Taillights-unpainted (on trade for my wheels) not 100% installed properly

    Dunlop DirezzaDZ101 205/15-15

Project G oil cap (to be installed spring)
Project G dip stick pull (to be installed spring)
    RSpeed dual hood struts
    Enthuza TestPipe w/ stock exhaust

    And Future plans:
It's an early 1.6 so not sure I want to do power mods to this engine so probably just RB header and Maybe a Rotrex supercharger so I can switch it back or basic FM turbo eventually OR 1.8 swap. Motor stuff is far down the road though.
-Since I traded my wheels for the GV tails, I'm thinking 15x8 or 15x9 Rota RKR for next year
-Maybe fender flares if wheels require it
-Better suspension- FM VMaxx, endlinks and front sway bar
-Chassis bracing galore- door bars, shock tower brace, fender brace, frame rails etc
-Project G G-fuser setup with corner flare
    -Better exhaust
-Reupholster door cards - maybe have a professional do full dash, crash pad, door panel recover)
    -Sound & heat insulate interior
    -MazdaRoadster SS kit
    -New clutch
    -Project G Plug wire cover
    -Moroso Over flow tank
    -GarageStar cowl panel
-Revlimiter Gauge cups (if SC or turbo installed)
    -KG Works trunk spoiler

I think that's it lol sorry for being so long-winded
