    Are the Rev9 pedals slippery?
Did you try any heel & toe maneuvers?
Maybe a slippery gas pedal is a plus!

Ohh, and what is lurking in the garage? Is that a 65?

Pedals are not slippery...gas pedal probably will be depending on shoe choice and moisture. Brake and clutch are GRIPPY. My daily driver Speed3 has a slippery gas pedal and its a non issue for me.

A little rev matching but no heel toe yet. Just trying to get used to new shifter today.

    63...convertible. My dads.

I like the REV9 pedals as the edge of the holes on the brake and clutch are raised and is quite rough and prevents slipping.

Great work on the door handles. Sounds like they were a pain in the ass to do. Carbon Miata's response of "You'll know what to do" is a bit shit and not really professional IMO. I had purchased some engine bay silicone hoses from CM. They lasted a year and one month and it came down to quality control of which it simply wasn't there. Have since replaced them with genuine Samco hoses and no issues since. Not a fan of CM and I dont think I'll buy anything from them any time soon but that's just me personally.

The MiataRoadster short shifter looks the goods! Makes me regret not getting the extended shaft!

The console came out real nice as well man! What a cute lil thing that is hahaha!

Yea his email said he "doesn't think its really that complicated and that Id manage". Well it I managed but it certainly would help to give some guidance or some sort of support for your product . Especially when the replacement part has pieces that are different from the OEM part. Extremely lucky to have been installing these at my parents house or else I wouldn't have the tools necessary (drill press was a life saver)or the spare screws to replace the incorrect ones provided in the kit.

Im glad I didn't spend the full amount for the handle set; maybe thats why he provided no support because I didn't buy it directly from him. . (A PDF of instructions in an email costs nothing.)

Even if I just bought the door lock buttons, still wouldn't have had proper screws lol Cups went on easy thank god.

Definitely rethinking my future CM fender flare purchase.

Product support is a high priority for some Miata consumers. Hell, even Adam provides detailed instructions on how to mount his tiny shift plates and vent rings which are the most basic installs ever. On my old window switch that I sold, Adam was willing to help me and/or the future buyer on replacing the broken mounting bracket. Guess all Miata customer service is now compared to revlimiter standards haha

The shifter is so perfect. Im content with how it looks with the voodoo knob on there too...for now. Im glad I changed my order with Bill at MiataRoadster to have the shifter shortened by 2". It makes up for having no console. It really is (IMO) perfect. It feels vintage. It looks vintage. Anything taller would have been ridiculous, especially with no console. Stock height would have given such shorts shifts it may not have been as satisfying as this one. Not a fan of the curved ones either.

And thanks for the compliment on the console! It sure is a cute little thing. Haha

That shorty console looks so damn adorable installed!

And you're going to love the pedals. I've had them for around 4 years now. They don't have that scratch free freshness anymore, but they're still grippy. They now look properly worn in, looking like they've been used in all the right ways.

The extened throttle also helps with heel/toe as well.

Only thing negative I'd say about them is don't go drving bare foot with them.

And you ain't joking about comparing all other Miata vendors to Adam when it comes to customer service. The man goes well beyond what most people have come to expect from any small business aftermarket parts maker.

Maybe I will refer to my console as "adorable shorty console" from now on. Thank you

Drove the car again yesterday through stop and go traffic and really got a feel for the pedals. They sure do feel good. It began to rain. Shoes were wet. Gas pedal wasn't slippery at all with the shoes I was wearing. Heal toe works very well. I can see bare foot driving being an issue, but I always keep my shoes on lol

This car drives and feels so much different with the new shifter, oil in turret, and shift boots. In a good way.

Did you leave the rubber pads behind the brake & clutch pedals or am I seeing things?

correct, they go over the rubber pads. I thought about somehow removing the pads but couldn't think of a way to mount the covers without the pads being there.

Was able to finish the driver's side CarbonMiata door handles tonight.

Used a small grinding bit with the Dremel to get the rivets/pivot points off of the OEM handles. Worked really well. Worked better than the passenger method mentioned in previous post. Would do this way again if I had to.

Was able to salvage the OEM door handle rod clip on this side. Will need to source some of these clips in the proper size to fix passenger side the way it should be.

It all went back together smoothly. Just had to add washers behind the handle bracket so it didnt rub the inner door skin.

After doing both sides, they are now pretty easy to do. Now that I know what Im doing, how the handles and lock mechanism works and once all hardware worked.

I really love the way they look. Part of me thought itd be too much "bling". Once installed it all looks right. They feel great. My door lock mechanism seems smoother and using the key to unlock the door works better now.

My door panels needed help. They came unglued sitting over winter. Decided to give them a temporary fix until I can gather all items necessary for a proper panel change so I can use my LE speaker grilles. Super glued and duct taped the peeling vinyl to the backside of the original door cards. Turned out better than expected. We will see how it holds up. Made a slight mistake and opened up the passenger side door cup hole too large but I can hide it easily with some trim rings I have in my parts bin.

It was dark when I finished it all up, so heres one shitty photo.

Now who has the source for the proper size door rod lock clip? The "mazda" ones from ebay are too large. Autozone ones were too large as well.

Thanks man! Yea them being so close to factory look deterred me from buying them at first. Wanted a more impactful change if I were to spend $330 on door handles. Ie: nakamae

These are great pieces once all assembled.
