Sooo happy. Fender Flares arrived today!!!

They're beautiful. CarbonMiata did a nice job. Obviously need some sanding work and some glazing filler but not much.

The white gel coat will work just fine with this old white paint until I can get flares painted proper.

So the other day after the lug in my spacer broke, I removed spacers completely. Test fitted the wheels. Looks like I may not need spacers after all.

    Front:

    Rear:

Here is the left rear with the 15x9 +12 wheel with no spacer and the left rear flare.

Just ordered tires. They're set to be here on tuesday. Hoping to get flares mounted up this weekend and it all buttoned up (minus paint) mid-next week.

Flare fitment looks spot on! I would avoid spacers too if I could; meaty tires combined with your wheel specs will get you there I think.

thank you! and That is what Im hoping! Prefer to not use spacers but IF I do Id like it to be a small spacer. Ill def be running longer lugs at some point this summer.

Tires arrives a day early. Thanks tirerack and ups.

Buddy helped out in a huge way and was able to mount and balance them right away.

Here they're compared to my 15x8 with 205/50.

Shows how wide the Direzza dz101 really are.

Love the wider lip on the 15x9.

Was able to get the flares taped on and marked for holes. Got the right side holes drilled. Tomorrow will begin cutting. Stoked!

Lotsa rubber to meet the road! That should look great and perform great.
It will be interesting how much you will need to clearance the wheel wells.

Got the right front cut today. Flare is installed and wheel in on. still need to rust proof the edge and the holes.

Once theyre all on and fitted right I will paint the flares to match. For now its nice that the white gelcoat isn't too far off the 28 yr old paint.

    It looks fantastic so far.

Nice! I've been contemplating this same exact setup but scared to cut stuff myself. how'd you go about cutting and sealing the fenders?

Thanks!! It seems like a great setup. May need a spacer but that was the plan all along.

I used a air powered cut off tool with 3" disc. Worked well. Cut nicely. My Compressor was a gallon or three short of having continuous power but it worked out well. While compressor was refilling Id mark, drill, tape and tinker on other stuff.

    Got both front mounted.

As for sealing, I think Im going to coat the bare metal with a rust proofer of some sort. And may even cover that with some truck bedliner. It'll all be covered by flares so it doesn't have to be super pretty.

Still havent quite figured out how I will seal the rear two skins together. Would love to have it all welded up but getting to a local welder may be difficult. May just cut the slits and fold the inner skin up and rivet them together for now. May use 3M panel bond. Guess ill figure that out once they're cut haha

Hoping to get rears cut tomorrow and flares mounted so I can drive it!
