Today was the first start-up of 2019. Looks like Buffalo weather is finally improving enough the bring the car out. Pulled it out to give the garage a quick sweep and put snow removal toys away.

Gotta get these fenders back on, but i kinda want to drive it a few times without them. Legal? IDK.

Rollbar is all in and interior is back together. Would like to get a new shelf carpet as mine has been cut for my old bar. Holes for bars in the metal underneath aren't pretty or accurate either so would like to cover those up.

Contemplating selling the Lotus seats to fund something else. Anyone interested?

Cannot wait to drive this thing. We need some rain to clean the salt of the roads!!

Also, new truck in the background. So
    Happy with the current situation.

Went for a first drive a couple days ago. This car feels so solid. I love it. The Paco Moto fender braces seem to make a difference over the old Frog Arms.

Fenders will go on soon. Upon removal , one of the lower bolts broke off so im dreading trying to get that out.

My hardtop used to contact my old roll bar at the very edges so I decided to avoid this with my new bar as to not scratch the pretty powdercoat. A few minutes with a palm sander and a file took off enough material to give plenty of clearance for the hardtop and bar. Left some small holes in the inner hardtop but ill fill them with some putty and paint it.

    No more bar/top contact!

Also, bought a truck a couple weeks ago. Crazy difference between a big truck and a tiny car almost 30 years apart.

I say this to everyone, if mazda made a truck, it would have been top pick. Really want an old B2000 series truck.

well that too, but I grew up driving around with my dad who owned several b2000 trucks. Funny enough he still has one of the transmissions in his garage. I remember as a kid shifting the gears for him. A lot of memories of dad in those old b2000s.

I've been in Niagara the past 5 weeks, and completely overlooked the fact that you're just down the road until now. Of course, I leave in two days, heading the opposite direction (back to winter, in Maine).

I'm a big fan of Toyota's new color pallette, the satin orange, grey, and your denim(?) blue are all fantastic. Great looking truck!

Shoot me a message or a text and we can get together! I can see Niagara Falls from my work lol

I do like what toyota has been doing. That cement grey was my second option. And from what i saw on a Tundra forum they'll be coming out with an army green which looks badass. Nice to see a company doing things a little different.

It has been a while since I've updated. Here are some photos of the car after the first wash of the season. And first photos of the Blackbird Fabworx bar in the sunshine.

And then I finally installed a new speedo cable and along with it a new gauge cluster hood from RSpeed. The car no longer sounds like its going to fall apart inside.

    Thanks Pete!

Not sure what updates Ill have this year. Got some new toys this year that suck up the monthly fun allowance and free time.

On my to do list of things I have in my garage at the moment:

Garage Star seat rail; plan is to sell the red Elise seats to fund a basic bucket race seat. (Been meaning to post those up for sale here)
SuperMiata coolant reroute and get my Autometer temp gauge working
    install new heater core hoses
Valve seals; car is burning oil and puffing smoke

Would like to get a trunk spoiler (kg works style) and put some nicer paint on my fender flares. Then just drive it whenever possible.

I did add this Fiat 124 Abarth shift knob that I was gifted from a friend. Is has the odd 6 speed pattern but it matches the interior so well and it feels fantastic. Would like to somehow machine the shift pattern off of it and just polish it up.

Finally logged in! It’s been a while. Spring has spring , had some vacation time , goo weather and quarantined so was able to give the Roadster some love today.

Really miss fiddling with it and driving it. Now that wife and kids will be home for the near future I may be able to rack up some miles on it driving to work.

Did an oil change and put the OEM seats back in until I figure out a new driver’s seat. Added BeatRush hard top latches. And drove it around a bit today.

It really needs new seals/ maintenance. Rear main, cam seals. Bunch of small leaks need to be addressed. And a clutch. And add my coolant reroute and valve seals I’ve got sitting here. I’d like to get it done this spring. And post more here now.

I miss you all. Y’all are killing it with these builds I’m catching up on.

    First drive of 2020:
