    Makkuro Eunos

    Hey,
I thought I would put together a thread for my Eunos, I have owned it for 6 years now since it was imported to the UK from Japan in 2009 for us.

The car is an NA6 S-Special that has stayed very stock for most of its life, it arrived in the country with a set of tired looking Panasports but standard other than that. It was daily driven for 4 years by my girlfriend, but 2 years ago it became mine!

I spent the first few months tidying the car up and throughly servicing it, and since then have slowly modified the car.

Over the last year I have made a few more modifications as I gained a direction for the car, the best of them was a set of Work Equip 03's that I ordered about 9 months ago, best parcel I have ever received.

At the end of last year it looked like this, a few more additions like KG Works mirror and door releases, a few carbon fibre trim pieces that I have made, began planning for a winter or ordering parts

Thank you for your kind words, I'm quite pleased with how the car is progressing, but I feel it lacks some character.

I ordered a few pieces before Christmas and fitted them, first up was a leather hand brake grip from Car Make Corn's in Japan, Tomoyo San is very helpful and friendly. He managed to post this to a hotel in Tokyo for me and I had my mother collect it (she is British Airways cabin crew). I'm pretty sure these are an original Mazda part but just unavailable in the UK, but it has a lovely feel and was still wrapped up brand new.

Next up, I contacted Adam and ordered a set of his Revolver gauges with a small alteration of the 'Eunos' text. I love them, they make such a difference and the green is a perfect match to OEM. After this I ordered the matching Roadster HVAC panel, and I'm just fiddling with that to get the green light to match spot on.

Since Christmas I have replaced my dash board with a excellent condition second hand one, as mine developed a large crack across it, what an awkward job that was to do! The second hand one I brought had had the loom removed from it in a rush by the looks of it, so I removed the metal structure and loom from my original dash and swapped it in to the new one. Everything went well but with the short winter days I finished the job in the dark. All worked and fitted nicely its a big improvement over the broken item.

Also I had a small stone chip in my windscreen that i decided to have replaced by my insurance company, big mistake. The guy that did the job took 4 hours and smashed the windscreen filling the car with glass, he also scratched the hell out of my hard top and windscreen surround pushing the broken glass around with his elbows. I was distort, I spent the next 2 days cleaning the inside of my car and the driveway that was full of glass, cutting wire and razor blades.

After battling with the company for a month now the car is going to be repainted at my favourite local bodyshop and all paid for by the windscreen company.

Now, that sucks. At least you will get the car resprayed, but I bet it was annoying to deal with.

Why don't you add a metallic or pearl when you respray it? Might as well make it look special!

It was a shitty thing to happen, and to watch it happening! I told the guy to stop continuously, oh and the screen leaks!

It is only the front end, roof and screen surround being repainted, the back half of the car was fine and the paint is very good on the whole car.

I am currently waiting on another parcel from Car Make Corn's with a bunch of ZOOM goodies!

My goodness this is a pretty parcel to receive

I managed to find a set of original Porter Cab lights about 3 or 4 months ago with a pair of brand new lenses too, I think they were from a guy on here too.

I have painted the panel and plan to fit it when the weather brightens up and the Equips are put back on.

I really like the direction this is heading, all quality parts and good choices, adding to a already nice NA.
