Hammerhead - I got some AWD gauge rings, I spotted them a few weeks ago and made sure they were still there for my visit No pictures of them yet as they are packed up in my suitcase, and we dont get home until Friday.

Proyea - Thank you very much! The visit to Car Make Corn's was one of the first things on the list when planning the honeymoon, we actually planned the wedding around when we would like to go to Japan. Koyo season being the first 2 weeks of November, the wedding was pinned for 1st November.

The honeymoon was always going to be car orientated, we did a week road trip through Nikko and Gunma national parks, up and down all the drifting roads from Initial D (not a drifting fan, but hey.. its part of the car culture here) and then drove to Nagano. We are in Hakone now, and off to the Mazda Hakone Turnpike tomorrow!

NCGreasemonkey - Only child, sorry! I am a very lucky guy

    Nice updates.

I am getting married next year but going to NYC. Sadly if I tried taking my other half to Japan on a Miata tribute journey I would be divorced quicker then I was married!

You, however, can fall back on your paddock of Jpn goodness when appealing to the new wife. Congrats on the soon-to-be nuptials and trip to the Rebels land.

    Skinny ones

I had a spare 30 minutes at work today and decided they needed to be fitted. They look brilliant, and felt like the perfect finishing piece to my gauge cluster. The green reflection off of the machined aluminium is lovely. It was too rainy and dark to take some pictures today, but I will get some soon.

So the UK feels like its in 24 hours of darkness at the moment, it rains constantly too.

Some quick iPhone shots of the updated cluster from last night, I am very pleased.

So its that time of year again, I assume all MazdaRoadster.net members got their Christmas presents from Adam?

It was only a small one for me this season, just a central indicator panel. I was expecting a tiny jiffy bag and couldn't believe it when another big parcel arrived. Adam you rock!

In other news, I made a thing... Can anyone guess what its for?

I like you UK guys! Just wish I could get lucky enough to score one of your 30 pounds KG dash panels! ( I mumble in something that resembles proper English vulgarities ).

All good guesses, but not quite.

It is a water pump outlet pipe that I have been working on for some time. After dry assembling the turbo on the manifold, the original water pump pipe looked like it might get in the way of the compressor housing to intercooler pipes. I looked around to see if I could find anyone that sold a solution, but couldn't find much. I think the old BBR turbos had shortened OEM versions, but they are pretty rare.

I did some drawings and drove over to see my engineer, and after some trial fits, this is where I am at. It fits nice, but now needs a hose fitting on either side for the thermostat bypass and the heater matrix feed pipe. Just working out a nice way to do it.

Other than that I have just been collecting some new pieces to put on the Eunos, and Tomoyo san at Car Make Corn's has been helping lots.

I ordered some pieces as Christmas present to my self and Tomoyo kindly sent me some more as a gift! I am so impressed. She included an original Roadster tool bag that she has owned for 17 years, its brand new and was still in the original packaging and with the Roadster wooly gloves inside

I have found the original "Eunos Sports Catalogue" of optional extras from the factory and its listed in there too, I am very pleased with it and almost feels a shame to use it, but its in the boot of the Eunos now, as she told me I had to use it.

I have been searching for some Mazdaspeed pieces too, and have a few surprises coming in the post.

Quality updates once more Ben! Funny thing, I CADed a very similar looking adapter just yesterday (albeit with provision to use the OEM heater hose pipe), as well as a trick reroute adapter for the rear of the head

EDIT: My way for the heater hose is a threaded hole on the side of the adapter, then have an additional piece machined on a lathe. Said piece is threaded as well to fit on the side of the adapter (where the flat part is), and slides over the OEM heater pipe. Not really fond of it, too many connections/potential leaks for my liking

Love the progress. And I'm going to have to get me a Corn's parking sign like you have!

A had a pretty parcel arrive yesterday from Japan.

Over the last month or so I have been experiencing the winter Eunos owner frustration, this leads to much shopping. Its taken me a while but I have found a reliable and cost effective way of bidding on products on YAJ. So I have been spending the long winter nights digging deep through the auctions and working out the correct search terms. I have been able to find some real bargains and interesting pieces. My ethos for my car is to use ‘era correct’ parts and as many as possible sourced from Japan.

I have 4 parcels coming over the next few weeks and the first arrived yesterday and included these pieces.

A 90's HKS 60mm boost gauge, it was from a track prep'd Eunos with a turbo 13B engine, the auction even had pictures of the car driving around Fuji Speedway, so I had to have it. It is showing a few signs of age, but works perfectly and bonus - it lights up green! I will take it apart and restore it. I am not a massive fan of lots of gauges on show so I will make a neat pod for it to sit in the glove box. Lighting up green was what I was looking for though, so it matches my other gauges.

Next up is a Trust intercooler for my turbo engine install. It is apparently from an old GReddy NA6 turbo kit, but I can’t seem to find any pictures of this intercooler on an Eunos. It is in very good condition though and after a quick measure up it looks like it will fit. I will have it cleaned up and polished too.

An original Work Wheels ‘Team Equip’ decal, even with some vintage dirt.

Coming in the next few parcels is some real gems, including a Garage Vary type 1 bonnet, ARC BOV, and some M2 pedal covers
