Question So.... My crank gear is stuck. advice?

I started on my timing belt and water pump maintenance. Everything went excellent all the way down to the crank gear.
I was able to pull my keyway with pliers, but the gear itself is stuck on the crank. I tried with my hand and then soaked it in PB Blaster and then tried with two small prybars. This did nothing but result in me breaking the back edge.
Everything i searched seemed to say either attempt to torch it or try and carefully cut it off with a dremel.

Does anyone have a better solution or option??

    some photos.

Just used lots of pb blaster and pried at different angles with big screwdrivers. You could try whacking it with a mallet or lightly with a hammer.

You can try using the pulley holes to thread long bolts of that thread and pitch to s-l-o-w-l-y and evenly press it out or go rent a jawed pulley puller tool.

    Heat and lube.
I used a heat gun at 500degC, got it nice and hot and whacked it with a mallet.
This was after letting it soak for a few hours in wd40.

    My order is always:
Penetrating fluid, if that doesn't work add heat, if that doesn't work add shock in the form of a mallet.

Hasn't failed me yet, although my steering wheel almost got the better of me this morning.

THIS! I've used this method before, but I forget what the thread and pitch are. You can pick up these bots at any Home Depot.

I *think* the four bolts that attach the under drive pulley are m6x1. Take one to the store and check. 2-3" long bolts should work. Get hardened bolts, like grade 5.

Just FYI, that is the oil pump housing surrounding the area, so do go slowly, evenly.

Before tapping new holes, did you try using long bolts in the two (2) existing holes in the drive gear?

I would check if a 2-jaw gear puller or tie rod puller might fit in there.
