Work In Progress - MX-5 ND Parts

    Hi!

Following the threads for NA, NB and NC, here is the ND thread.

We will show you what we have planned for ND but are also eager to hear your suggestions and ideas! We don't have a ND in the workshop yet but I was lucky to get a brand new OEM trunk from the dealership so we will start with 3 trunk spoiler designs first then a trunk with integrated spoiler and see what accessories we can come up with for the gorgeous ND.

I also got some OEM front and read OEM plastic badges for the ND and was happy to see that the NC2/3 nose badge is actually the exact same size as the ND one so I guess that's our first item!

    http://www.carbonmiata.com/index.php...product_id=228

Today I will check if the ND rear one matches with the NC1 front badge then we would have the pair (the ND rear one is much bigger than the NC rear one...).

I will post some pictures of the first design of trunk spoiler today if everything goes well.

    Thanks for following!

    Marc@CarbonMiata

Here is the current work in progress for Miata ND: A high ducktail spoiler.

The subtle spoiler will be ready beginning of next week and I am going to try offering different colors of carbon fiber for the first time. We plan to offer red, blue and green carbon fiber along with the regular carbon fiber and carbon kevlar.

And here is our first Miata ND part: A carbon fiber trunk spoiler!

We will add it to the website when it's back online! In the meantime, we are looking for a ND owner to make some nice pictures for us! We will offer him/her a VERY good deal!

    Hey!

So we started working on the ND and we have A LOT of parts being developed at the moment so I will post some pictures of the prototypes and explain a bit what we are doing!

Just so you know we released the floor mats and trunk liner already last week.

    https://www.carbonmiata.com/shop/maz...lted-design-3/

    https://www.carbonmiata.com/shop/maz...uilted-design/

And here is the first part we are working on:

We also started to design the following parts:

    - carbon fiber door sills covers
    - carbon fiber roll bar covers
    - carbon fiber front lip
    - carbon fiber short fender flares
    - carbon fiber skide skirts
    - carbon fiber front canards
    - carbon fiber OEM trunk (the one with ducktail will follow later on)
    - carbon fiber OEM hood (vented one will follow later on)
    - carbon fiber 3 pieces trunk spoiler

We also fitted the S200 Mugen hardtop on our ND just for fun and were pretty surprised that it's very similar in terms of shape and size!

I will post more pics ASAP! Thanks for the patience.

OK small update, here is a picture with the sidelights on. I think it looks pretty good as they are still very visible when on! We will have the prototypes done soon.

We also started to make the molds for a few pieces such as the MX-5 logo, the engine cover, the side sills covers and the roll bar covers.

And the bigger mold at the moment is the OEM trunk. The one with ducktail will be done shortly after.

Here is a preview of more parts we are working on. The trunk with a recess which I think makes the rear of the car more aggressive and add a vintage flair and the vented hood with 2 huge vents which goes well with the overall Kodo design! Let me know what you think!
