    I first tried the '96 with power windows panels in my car and didn't like the full length arm rest that those panels use.

    I swapped to the '95 panels with the short door pull, and then made a custom pull from some Porsche RS parts. I much prefer them over the later panels.

    I think to get the best possible door car that is OEM looking, I would use the '96 door cards and recover the main panel so you don't have to use the full length armrest.

    The easier way to do this would be to combine any pre-97 door panel and the pocket from the unloved '97 panel. Recover the panel and add the pocket.
