Are the bolts in the hardware kit Metric or Standard? I have one here but the bolts for the seats are socket cap standards, and the slider brackets use metric? all of which have some rust, planning to change mine out for stainless becasue me no likey rust

I honestly can't remember. I know I replaced some from Lowe's because they were too long and pushing on the leather from the inside. I need to insert some washers under the front part of the bracket to allow the slider mechanism to work the way it should. I did it on the passenger side but did not on the drivers side.

Harry has sime cool seats in his car, even though they don't fit the colour theme. I tried them, my butt was kinda big for them (I gained almost 20pounds the last 6 months), and I don't know how comfortable they would be for everyday use.

I am just under 5'11" and have a 34 waist and these seats fit me perfectly. I still have some room to shimmy as well.

Some pics of my Elise seat(s).

Those are Elise S1 seats in dark blue leather. Mounts are custom-made by me, and may be available soon for sale. I am 5'8" and 68kg and I find them perfect, albet a bit loose on my waist. The only bad thing; padding is almost non-existent, especially after all these years. Will buy some Sunmate or Kemmler Air2Gel foam soon to re-do them and also add the OEM heater pads. I have lower back issues (that also affect my leg at some extend) and with OEM seats driving more than two hours was problematic. The Elise is WAY better in this aspect, no more back pain, albeit 2+ hour drives are still a bit hectic due to padding.

Mine were some of the first Elise seats in a Miata, installed in 2009. If you google "elise seats in a miata" you're looking at my pix. ha! My blog slug is here: http://revlimiter.net/blog/category/miata/elise-seats/

Brackets made by a local shop. I have templates of the metal parts on my site. You can get them cut and welded to stock sliders by any local speed shop.

I restuffed them with Shocktec Air2gel foam and dissected the Probax foam. It's nothing special - open cell couch foam. The Air2gel is amazing. It transforms the seats.

(these are full of the new foam)

I also installed some shoulder slot grommets in my seats.

Adam, did you just pull up the center section and lay down the cushion and then place the center section over it? Is it difficult to remove the center section?

Read all about the mod here. And yes, I just pulled up the center and laid down the air2gel underneath.

Reupholstered non-Probax seats in my old 10AE. The seats are currently in Jazz' interior. I plan to try out Adam's Air2gel suggestion, as the non-probax seats are not that comfortable.
