    Shipping coilovers Overseas

    Hi folks.

Previous I've used FormJapan.com for shipping from overseas.
They have made restrictions to their shippings policy lately, so now you can not get dampers shipped.

"We can confirm that we can't ship items contained oil, gas or air inside.
Please be aware of this matter when using our service."

So, I know some of you spends yen on YJ and do not collect your goods in personal.

What do you recommend for shipping?

    \\Stian.

FedEX Air will still ship, but get ready for a very expensive bill.

If I was gonna do this again I would just buy from someone importing it or a locally stocked brand.

Overseas Air Freight will kill any special price you think you are getting.

Yeah I tried to buy a cheap set of shocks through FromJapan about a year ago and it was a no go. They wouldn't ship and I didn't find another shipping option that made $ sense for me.

I don't have the luxury of buying JDM parts from local companies, neither do I find find shipping more expensive than shipping from USA.
Often is shipping from Japan faster than from USA.

Turned out more negative loaded than intended.

See if someone like tetsuya garage will buy them for you and ship them via sea freight. Most airmail (didn't know about fedex) won't take anything under pressure. And neither will commercial airlines... even though they pressurize the cargo hold. Learned that the hard way.

They'll charge by weight, and a set of coilovers is well within the size restriction. Suspension does get pretty heavy though, so expect a decent fee. Not sure on Japan -> Norway, but my sea freight packages got to the US in ~3 months from Japan.

I believe I contacted tetsuya garage and he couldn't ship shocks because of the compressed gas as well. At least that was on a set of used shocks.

Can't ship postal but ask Rod if he can ship FedEX or DHL

And yes shipping from Japan is always faster. I've order stuff from Japan that got to me faster than domestic parts ordered the same day lol.

I paid 10000yen for a set of coilovers shipped with Fedex (5 days), from Japan to Norway. This was before fromjapan changed their policy.

I've also used Jesse Streeter for other items, he's good. Also used Rod (tetsuya) and he's good too, charges less then Jesse.
