    Vent Windows for the doors?!?!

I was having a discussion about how cool vented windows are, and it led me to this... http://www.kgworks.co.jp/4-c-999-english.html

    We're these ever actually produced?

Bogaut brought this design up to Marc with Carbon Miata and he said it is possible but didn't commit to anything. Maybe Marc will weigh in on the subject since it was never produced.

I know these were very popular 'back in the day' on various vehicles(my first car had them, '72 Chevelle, and i really liked them) but don't really know of anyy current vehicles that use them.

See also KG Works corner Window. I think it will be a nice product if it ever makes it to production. Last update was in 2014. KG said they were working with IL Motorsports on German made prototypes.

Barchetta offered a vented window option a year or two back for ¥42,000 but I think it was limited production and NLA as I think they've gone out of business.

The Barchetta ones were apparently horrible. Very bad fit and finish. Cast pot metal vs machined. I was very interested but decided against purchasing when I heard about the quality from someone who had a set.

I'm hoping for full-tilt '67 Camaro vents! Would settle for '75 Chevy Luv vents!

Well we are still checking how to make them. They are not easy to design and produce to be honest! Especially because if we make them, we will use glass windows and aluminum fittings. I can't promise anything at the moment but when I have an update I will definitely let you guys know.

In the meantime, we have a cheap alternative coming soon. The first set will be done next week and sent to Chad to test it.

The tails will be ordered soon for Noir, also. Mayby CF to break-up the all black... Not sure yet.

KG made a set but the production costs to make an OEM quality piece is way too high. And you'd probably only get 10 or 15 buyers with such a high price.

Max was talking with the vendors in Japan. He is getting Nielex to make me a couple out of production parts. Since he is in the metal business he might be an option as well.

I've been wondering why no one has made any that weren't just inserts into the glass (which I thought looked cheap). With all of the aftermarket parts that are made, why is this one so difficult to make? My '76 Fiat 124 Spider had them and I thought they were great. I'm not up on manufacturing costs, but does anyone know why these would be more costly than other parts that manufacturers offer?

Here's a question to put out there to everyone who on this thread who wants these: How much would you be willing to spend on a pair of these if they were quality made and looked OEM? Don't speculate, either. Really consider how much you'd realistically be willing to spend. I'll start by saying that I think I'd only go as high as $600.
