    Tyrant fab bankrupt...

Just read on facebook that one of the "partners" collected money for tops and spent the money and that the business is filing for bankruptcy.

I was wondering when this would hit here.

Yeah, apparently corey sold something like 30 tops but only told luis about 6 of them and then skipped with the money.

I read that they didn't have a legal partnership, so I'm not sure what legal recourse Luis and the customers who got ripped off have.

If one party worked or collected money as an employee, that would probably be theft or embezzlement?

This is why I stick with the "Proven" miata tuners that have been in the game for a good length of time.

I still hope Autokonexion gets their act together because they have some cool parts, several that I'd like to buy for Warbird. Unfortunately they seem to have "bigger fish to fry" as the 411 is they have became involved with doing SEMA cars on a regular basis and doing preliminary work for body kit manufacturers and why their original customer base, miata owners, get put on the "back burner".

I'm sure the non miata clientele are keeping the doors open but they can't even be upfront about this from what I have seen/read. Local customers seem to be "happy" with them but it is prudent to keep locals that can stop by everyday happy.

I hate to see small businesses fail but i honestly think Tyrant has been living on borrowed time, imho.

Sure, but can it be proven to law enforcement or a court?

This 100%. Old timers have seen these problems time and again over the years on numerous automotive forums, not just Miata-specific ones. New product from new vendors can be exciting, but a guinea pig I am not.

Is it? I was wondering if this was the company criticizing Moti's work.

I believe so. May be the reason why Moti wouldn't/won't sell me a unfinished bar.
