Really glad you made a build thread Dave!

No matter how little or how long it may take, everyone should have a build thread if for no other reason as to have a 'public record' of maintenance and or modifications done in the event it becomes time to part ways.

Look forward to getting caught up and future updates!

    P.S.- Go Tigers!

Push start and Warbird HVAC installed.

You want a push button start, trust me you want a push button start, but you're like me and electrical (with the pixies and the smoke) is not your strong suit. Easy, go to Revlimiter.com and just follow the directions.

    Lake Michigan January 2014

I'm very fortunate to see some wonderful things on this amazing planet thanks to my job. If it's OK with the administrators I'll post them here from time to time.

I really like that RX7 steering wheel.
Was that a direct bolt on? (Plagiarizers want to know!)

Nice picture of frozen Lake Michigan.
That 2014 Polar Vortex winter sure made for a tough 53 mile commute each way to work.
I really got to test the Quattro system (and heater) of my 87 Audi 5000 that year.

The RX-7 steering wheel is a direct bolt on. It's a little bigger than the stock wheel which would be an advantage if you're going to delete power steering. It has a rubber coating and on mine it always felt a little sticky. I think somebody cleaned it with a solvent at some point.

Found this on Japan yahoo and it gives me a woody.
No manufacture markings so don't know who made it but it looks and feels terrific.

Found the Moto Lita shift knob on eBay. It had to be drilled out to a larger size to fit. Also got the genuine imitation leather diamond stitch from eBay. I used construction paper to mark out the patterns. Give yourself at least a extra couple of inches for the material to lay underneath the floor mats.

Batman horn just wasn't working so...

If you have long chicken legs like me go down Ace Hardware and pick yourself up a long bolt and a couple nuts, your knee will thank you.

This was somebody else's idea, I have no imagination of my own. It really does make a big difference. I know from this angle it looks like the parking brake handle is way off alignment however that's just an illusion from this photo.

What exactly did you do to the handbrake? I have thick, but long legs, and my right knee always hurts resting against the handbrake, after every drive.

    Hello RustRat
Hand break is modified so that it points towards the middle of the car. To do this take the center consul out, pull the carpeting back to expose the aft mounting bolt of the hand break. Remove the bolt and replace it with one that's about an inch and a half longer. Don't forget to put the nuts on the inside of the mounting bracket.

I tried to follow Adam's instructions to the letter and I could not get push button start to work. Fortunately, it was completely reversible. I think I'll try again in the next few weeks.

^^^Dang!!! Nothing more frustrating than doing all that work and have nothing to show for it. Did you check the push switch itself? I sure its new but better to check it out than to go through that again.

I made my own trans tunnel and rocker cover patterns. I used construction paper to make the pattern. I'm sure paper towels would work just as well if not better.
I sourced the materal from Amazon and than I found another material that I like much better on ebay.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/361310051229...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
    https://www.amazon.com/Vinyl-Quilted...tch+Upholstery
I have included the amazon link because they sometimes sell that stuff on ebay.
The stuff on ebay is much better IMHO.
