1999-00 NB Morette Headlight bulb question

Can some one please tell me what the "blue/purple" bulb located in the high beam light is for? Thanks in advance.

Not for sure. But an early 'Halo-style' look. Low luminous bulb and looks to have a blue ring surround. Maybe?

It looks like a "city light". Was big in the 90s for fashion. It lights up the housing in whatever bulb is there. Not positive that that is what it is.

That little bulb is your "sidelight" or "parking light". The reference for those bulbs in Europe is 501, and they should light up with the first click on the light stalk

Yea you can convert them using aftermarket H7 HID kits. The beam pattern will be a bit off due to the cone being for a h7 halogen bulb but it can be done easily

Sorry but what do you mean with "beam pattern will be a bit off"?
Would it cause on coming traffic some problem like a high beam?

HID kits produce more light than halogen bulbs, so they have a tendency to wash the pattern out and can be dazzling to other motorists if not dipped enough.
