    Best double sided tape?

So I'm going to be installing my hardtop spoiler in the very near future... it's going to need double sided tape. I've had pretty good results with the 3m/scotch brand stuff, but I'm looking for some alternatives. The 3m tape is usually very thin, and I'm going to need something with a bit more vertical heft, as this spoiler isn't the absolute best as far as conforming to the shape of the area it attaches to.

    Suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Ken

3m tapes come in different sizes for that application. I have used the automotive stuff to fix side skirts to cars solely with their tape alone. It's really important to clean both surfaces the tape will adhere to extremely well. Alcohol or straight acetone is what I have used in the past. A cleaner with a high flash/evaporation rate.

3M makes different rated double sided tapes, you want the 50lb(?)/inch rated.

Btw, that hardtop looks AMAZING! CF spoiler is sweet too.

Go to Lowes and try to find the 3M double sided foam stuff with the red backing. It will claim to be rated "20 lb" tape. It's non-specific what length will hold 20 lbs, but once cured it sticks like crazy. I ship that stuff with my badges.

Carl Sagan just got a massage with a "happy ending".

As far a DST. Why is it that the stuff on Vent-Shades is not available to us? That stuff sticks! What I have found never does even with the same prep and promoter used.

I will echo the 3m recommendations already mentioned.

Is that hardtop wrapped or airbrushed? Looks amazing!

I use the same VHB tape that Project-G uses on their G-Wing hardtop wings.
