NA OEM Door Tweeter w/ Silver Trim

    Hey guys

I'm after a pair of OEM door tweeters with the silver trim around it, like below :

I'm not after the LE speaker panels as I already have them in storage.

Anyone know where I can find the tweeters or point me in the right direction? Dont think Australia got these...

    Cheers!

I'll dig around and see if I can find my extra pair. They differ slightly from the LE tweeters as they have a grey ring instead of silver. However, they can be easily repainted to get the appropriate finish (I had to do this with my existing LE tweeters because they were badly scuffed).

I think I threw away a pair of them last year because some nitwit previous owner cut the speaker wires flush with the backside so that they couldn't be repaired easily.

Can these be used with any door card top, with slight modifications, or is it not possible?

I wish someone would make an OEM+ version of these speaker door tweeters that had a machined aluminum or stainless steel surround, that silver on the OEM version tends to scratch easy a looks dull over time.

Hmmm... I have access to material and CNC machinery, could easily make a batch if there's enough interest....

I did toy with the idea of making a little carbon trim to go on mine

Ok Steve I will send it your way as soon as I find a small box to fit these in LOL. Or maybe just place them in bubbled wrap envelope. Why is it so expensive to send stuff to Australia?

Oh the way to deal with the trim is to have them chromed. There is a company in Ohio that does plastic chroming and they once qouted me $50 for these two trims as I wanted mine done at one point but decided to just paint them with plastic chrome paint. But as soon as my attention shifts back to my NA this will be the first thing I will get accomplish.

Now I am really tempted on having a go on aluminum or stainless ones, most probably would cost less than 50...

Interested in one set, too. If someone wants to ship to Greece. Not sure of their price range, though...
