MATG XXI was a blast. It was very nice to meet people and put faces to names.

Maxime is a cool guy, and his ND is stellar:

It was great to meet Jamie as well, his NA is absolutely amazing. I even got to sit in the seats!

Great pics and kind words, man, thanks!

If ya want, next time we can swap cars for a run. Or I can give ya a ride in Betty so you can get an idea of what Xidas ride like. Granted, that road isn't the greatest for ride comfort testing... though some of the roads in Robbinsville are. I can't believe I didn't think to at least offer you a ride while we were there this time.

I know right, how inconsiderate of you.

You're good man, no worries. We're not that far away for me to swing by someday and feel the Xidas, when I decide to bite the bullet.

Nice to have a clean run with no traffic. Looks like a nice spirited pace. Not too fast, not too slow. I can't imagine wanting to go any faster on US129 than what a near stock NA Miata can do. Unless maybe I was on a sport bike....

That was a great video that portrayed exactly what the Dragon is all about.
Watching the video I was hanging on to your roll-bar the whole time.
I can't wait to drive it myself.

Nice pix, thanks for posting the links. Where did you get the small GarageStar and small 949 RACING window stickers? All the ones I have found are too big to fit the small side windows.

Got to Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort Wednesday at 4:30, 11 hours from central Florida. Unpacked, sat on the bench in front of my room, stared at the Dragon, and thought "no time like the present ", and did my first blast on the Dragon. What a difference from my slog on the Interstate.
Left on Monday after doing maybe 15 Dragon runs and countless runs on the Cherohala Skyway, 28, etc etc etc.
Only got stopped once on the Dragon, a quick, friendly warning for 40 in a 30. Tennessee cops were cool, NC cops, not so much. As long as you're no being stupid, no problem.
Saw Wheels Through Time museum, stayed with friends on Lake Norman, am now in NYC visiting my son and old friends.
Before I left Statesville, my friend, a MATCO distributor, hooked me up with a visit to Long Road Racing. I got a personal tour from Alan a Long and met Glenn. They were building their 153rd Miata.fot 4 different series.
I sat in her son's racecar, saw the build process, and was happy to meet such nice and dedicated people.
Going back to Lake Norman Saturday, partying through Sunday, back to Florida Monday.
Already have my reservation for next MATG XXII August 1-5, 2018.
Pictures later;my room is at the Tree of Shame.
What everyone else said, DO IT!!!
