Installed some FM tophat spacers in the rear. Got the 195/55/15 BFGs mounted and road force balanced. And added another section of Thermo-Tec heat shield barrier.

Plan to wrap the sections of the exhaust before and after the cat in the future. Want to follow in Adam's example and do what I can to reduce/eliminate gas fumes. I've only ever gotten a strong whiff of them after heavy spirited driving. And chances are the check valves are stuck as they've likely never been touched in 184k miles.

I know this isn't on my Miata, but it's Miata related! Installed this K.G. Works rear view mirror on my xB which matches my K.G.W. instrument cluster on the Mazda.

Installed a Thermo-Tec pipe shield ahead of the CAT to reduce radiant heat in the trans tunnel.

Trimmed out the bump/hump out of the fender liners and pop-riveted flat sections in.

    Before:

    After:

    Got an alignment.

And did a test fit and sound check of the Monsterflow intake.

If on mobile, know that phone speakers don't do it justice. It sounds far better on a TV and makes me giddy in person.

Gonna need a 2.75" - 2.5" reducer coupler on the throttle body side. Just not enough room to cheat it with a 2.5" coupler being used as an adapter to fit a 2.75" coupler on the throttle body. Can't get a clamp on otherwise.

Sat with her in a drizzle and thought about our next move. She can be stubborn.

Cheers to my girl and all you fellow nutcases. Killed a beverage and had a smoke. The time we spend thinking about "Where next" has got to be the biggest on the pie-chart!

    Peace!

Also today I swapped out a set of Garage Star Delrin Door Bushings but could not get the drivers side door to open after install and adjusting 7-8 times, so I put the old one back. The left side was fine and the new bushing made it actually close better.

The driver's side is the most used/worn and can be a PITA. I replaced my top hinge. But still need to replace my bottom hing to get the sag out of that door from wear. Hey, car has to have a driver. Not a passenger.

Hope you and all are well Ray!

    Peace!
