Removed the HT and finally took care of engraving it in a hidden area in case of theft so I can prove it's mine if it's found.

Call your local Vet and set up a free chip day to have it chipped.

    Peace fellow nut!

<side note> Do you drive up Hwy 55 to Goldsboro often? I ask because... Hit me on a PM.

Not a bad idea. Used to to this to my old bicycles.

Prepared the lower windshield area for tomorrow's install of a new windshield.

Wipers, windshield base panel, and GS cowl panel removed. That windshield base panel is in exceptionally good condition and I don't want to take any chances for the glass guy to make a mistake removing it.

I also test fitted the Cappuccino washer bottle. The hood touches the cap enough to slightly compress it when fully latched. I've read the write-ups about installing it, and I saw mention of lining it up with the indentation of the hood, but that indentation sits about an inch forward from where the cap is. And the bottle is as low and far forward as it can go sitting in/on the cowl area.

My oldest son and I did two oil changes yesterday. The Italia went smoothly, but my we didn't get the drain pan under the 92 just right and about 1/2 the oil drained onto the floor. Then we almost forgot to put the plug back in before filling the 92.

I think I will go back to having the local quickie-lube "experts" do this job.

Definitely don’t trust your pride and joy with the lackeys at your local quickie lube. Not all of them are bad, but all bad mechanics end up at quick lube places. Instead try one of the top side oil change tools that sucks up 95% of the used motor oil through the dipstick and into a reservoir. Also consider an oil filter relocation kit to put the filter in a more accessible and upright location so you don’t have to deal with oil dripping down the engine block.
