Heads up:

Any of you coming through ATL on your way down, you are going to want to avoid the downtown area. There is a collapsed section of the I 85 at the 400 interchange from a truck fire.



Normally, it wouldn't affect passing through, because you would *probably* skirt around on the I-285 perimeter. However, this will put a lot more cars on the 285. It also means the Piedmont Rd exit is inaccessible, so tougher access to the strip clubs. ;) I know, I know...some of you probably wanted to see Blondie crush cans with her...cans at the Clemont Lounge, but that will be a lot more difficult to do. Please make plans accordingly.

Coming from Chatt on I-75 and was going to try and go by R Speed, what is best re-route from that side of town? Thx- Ray

You can skirt along the east side of ATL on the 285. The map is for Rooster coming from TN down I 75.

This made our local News this morning. Thx for the map, I was hoping the west side of loop might not be affected or maybe not as much as the east side. Shooting to be at RSpeed around 11am your time Thursday and lunch afterwards, map shows some food places down the street a bit.

GearheadsMiataClub.net is coordinating with SWFL Miata Club in Ft. Meyers to form a caravan because half our members are members there too. Still, nothing but crickets from Miami and there's something like 300 Miatas down there.

I have a dumb question, we have a new smart phone ( never owned one B4) will smartphones run apps like WAZE plugged into the cig lighter to keep from running down phone's power?

On long road trips, I sometimes run the Waze app for the social alerts about police.

That is my app. of choice. Even though it is power hungry.
