If you could not make this event. I am truly sorry!

Randy, and the people working with him, did a great job with EVERYTHING! It takes a strong and brave soul to shoulder the task of getting a gathering of this size to fruition! Thank you kind Sir for your sacrifices to make this happen!

Everyone that came will have something to carry with them for the rest of their lives!

We are Miata nuts! But there was more than a gathering of cars. We got to put faces to the names. Share stories, tips and insights. Shake a hand with one's that we had never met. Reunite with others.

[I shook AO's from a distance 'cause, you know, he had been down on Nevada.]

Just a glimpse at what I will take from this. And there are some things that don't mention because of content. I feel I made some true friends with several of you.

I was next to Hammerhead and Rene at the same time. And the Spec. A type 2 wing is still not mounted!

Tried to give Rev a hand. As he was doing for others.

Phat's borrowed tag line of "Build it. They will come." Evolved before my eyes.

Was there when TNRooster pulled up to the hotel.

Actually was lucky enough to be able to direct TNRooster to theothersawyer. And hear the beginning of their conversation.

Thanks Guys and Gals. It was Fun!

    Edit:

In the same way that we could take time and bond on that field. Can we not forget the times we have here on MR.net?

Insta and Snap are all fine for when you want to show off something. But here we bond and talk. Don't let this die, Please!

I had a great time! I didn't get to walk the field but I did fly over it with the drone (footage soon!) at one point. Definitely awesome to finally put some faces with the screen names! Huge thanks to Randy and crew for putting together and hosting an awesome event!!
I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

    Did we enjoy MiataPalooza 2017?
I think this picture speaks for us all!

This was an interesting fighter plane themed Miata parked over at "SpinnyWhoosh"
I bet that car garners a lot of attention when driven.

Over the next week I will continue to photobomb cars that stood out (at least to me) on the field.
I admire all versions of modified cars, so there should be a good mix.

Up first is this white NA as it is closer to the design direction of my car.

Check out the air vents in that hard top!

Does anyone in this thread mind if I repost your photos on my blog? I'd add username or real name as attribution of course. I just was not really able to get many pix at the show.

I'll be sending this same thing in PM once I harvest and choose some pix, but I thought I'd ask in a public post as well.

Feel free to use any of my pictures past, present, and future from MazdaRoadster, Photobucket, or Flickr.
Any time you can add an honorable mention of MazdaRoaster to drive traffic here for Randy would be a plus.

Each time I've hosted a Miatapalooza event I learn better ways to improve this event and get it bigger, I'm sad that all 3 of the local Tampa area Mazda Dealerships did not take me serious enough to support our event this time around, even after attending our prior events and seeing my interview on ABC Action News, but it did get the attention of the General Manager in Orlando (Classic Mazda) who wants me to have an event up in his area next time, and promised he will take better care of us, so most likely "if" this happens again it will be in Orlando, FL and I will be working with them.

Randy, it was an honor to be part of this event and a pleasure to be a part of your staff. When you recovered and are ready to do it again, sign me up!

    P.S. Thanks for the goodies.

If you didn't break your lens clicking Noir or myself I have no problem with it. We were in public.

No we don't have pins, but never thought about it. Will have to bring it up at the next meet. Got a really cool one from the Alaska Miata Club.
