Yes I got an Alaska Club coin to, that's what got me thinking of doing pin swaps, other clubs used to swap them all the time.

Amazing show Randy - Sooooo glad to finally get to come MIATAPALOOZA! Thank you, your wife and the rest of the staff for all the work in putting this show together and for inviting me to be there - We Had a Blast.

Thanks to all the guys and gals we got to meet and put some faces to User names, there were so many and I didn't get all the names and some never did say who they were ( AO was one, but rumor is someone got you on film!) I was worn out and getting foggy brained by the end of the day.

To Martin- Sorry you did not get to the show - maybe some of us can meet up at MATG in August?

To Corifto- Glad to finally meet you, cool stories, really wish we had more time to hang out with Adam and the rest of the guys, but wish you had loaned me those car keys, and some tools, AND TURNED YOUR BACK - JUST FOR A LITTLE WHILE- LOL. Take Care of "MY" Brake Light!

    Rolling in.

    The revlimiter Hangout.

As I said on the blog, a BILLION thanks to all the angels who helped me setup, break down, and run the booth all day. I could not have done it without you all.

My favorite memory was probably meeting the actual puppers from my black and tan DOGE gauges. I can't explain why. It was not something I ever expected to do - meet the subject of some of my gauges? But yeah, it was like magic.

I'll have more in the next few days as I get spotlight posts together.

I had a great time aside from my sunburn lol. The first event I've attended and the first trip I'd taken in my Miata. When it was announced I set it as the goal to have my car finished enough to be presentable for this meet/show. And I made it by the skin of my teeth. Got the car running the weekend before the event, put a total of about 100 miles on it the week before the event and then embarked on the 300 mile round trip journey. Happy to say I had no real issues except traction

Glad to meet a lot of you and look forward to more events in the future.

Here's a quick PSA, if you see a drone flying over an event, don't throw your bottle (or anything for that matter) at it.

Whoever you are, it is fortunate for you that you have terrible aim. I'd get into the FAA regs, how it's a felony offense, and how your day would have ended differently had you knocked it down, but you probably don't care.

I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

Miata’s are fun. So are their owners!

The owner of this "clown track car" said his friend with a Porsche GT3 almost swapped paint with it.
    Oh the humanity!

Lots of photos from the show already so I just wanted to offer a different angle: a few guys from the Gearheads Miata Club having left before dawn to work Miatapalooza and getting to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge for a pit stop just as the sun broke:

    Tristan75 from Spain

    The up-too-early motley crew

East meets west panorama of the rest area, sunrise on right, Skyway bridge of left

After the break, heading skyward, hence the name of the bridge

And then back down to St. Petersburg

    On scene before the crowds

Panorama of the event a little later taken from the foot bridge

Your staff with some freak photobombing us

One of our own Gearheads, Joe Morreale (and MK Turbo customer) manning the booth while Tristan75 looks to MK Turbo himself (although his expression remains questionable)

The raffle is always entertaining, especially the shark frenzy with free hats and T-shirts thrown out at the crowd

Some dude gave me a hundred bucks to take a picture with me and post it so here it is...weirdo

Oh, and it was great seeing The Driver again! I think five years between visits is working out just about right. He kept mumbling something about surfing in Panama or becoming a Thai girly boy but I love 'im anyway. Apparently, so does the public.
