    Thanks for all the replies here. But the short story is, due to some medical expenses my wife had this spring, the engine conversion has been delayed for another year. It is tempting to attempt this myself, but due to the poor tool inventory and small workshop area, that possibility is off the table. Besides, I rotated the tires on my Miata a few months ago and while I had the tires all off, decided to repaint my calipers and it took almost a week for my body to recover from that task. Yeah, it sucks getting old. I can imagine what I would feel like doing an engine swap.... not good.

    Grand Junction, CO isn't that far away from me. I wonder??? Got at least another year to replenish my farkel fund. Lots to think about. I also wondered about how much it would take to ship my car to CA too. That's a long ways to ship round trip. I imagine it ain't cheep.
