    89 Eunos Roadster

    Hello from western Australia. I have been lurking and love the diversity of build threads here so I decided to join in and make a build thread of my own.

    I purchased, fun inexpensive little daily in 2014 with basic mods planned. Focusing on suspension and handling, FUN and a few obligatory aesthetic tweaks. Fixing anything I find along the way.

    JDM Eunos Roadster Import
    1.6L
    LSD Viscous
    5 SPD

    Car was more or less stock when i bought it. Modifications from PO when I bought it were the surfboard seats from an NB, and the rims from the 94-97 model.

    First day I got her:

    The first thing on the list was full service and tune up, new brakes were needed on the rear. New plugs/leads. Redline synthetic oils in the Tranny+turret and diff. All fluids flushed and filled, new filters etc.
    Started fixing anything I found out of place. Started cleaning paint defects. Replacing grommets screws etc. Installed a new headlight motor and link, as one headlight was slower than the other and very noisy. Now they are smooth and even. Advanced timing to 14' BTDC. Fixed my slow power windows, cleaned and lubed with shin etsu. Cleaned behind my guards and drain holes. Maintenance stuff.

    Next up I installed some new rotors/pads, BC BR coilovers, clear side markers and a GV style front lip. The ride height was stupid high when I got her.

    Thanks harry. I'm gonna keep it pretty simple, clean fun daily.

    I got a set of whiteline adjustable swaybars real cheap and installed the Racing Beat supporting blocks. Not sure how I feel about the bars yet, it's getting pretty uncomfortable on the street. I really need to get some decent tyres. Love the blocks though.

    Bars are solid;
    16mm 3 point adj rear
    24mm 2 point adj front

    The front endlink's ended up quite close to the coilovers, that was as square as I could get them.

    The bars came with a whitleine stb which indeed is very nice to lean on, shiny too.

    Cool

    I wanted a duck tail and found this TR spoiler, I like the square shape and that it is a bit different from the kg works.

    Test fitting went well, it didn't need too much shaved off.

    I used a matt/satin black to match the lips. Keeps the small amount of black and red balanced. I may paint it red to suit in the future, not sure.

    Nice and subtle just a little bit of whip.

    I had some damaged lids on the centre console so I wrapped them with some cf wrap. Love the S special Nardi wheel!

    Got a tomei duracon 90mm. I really like the shape and length but it was pretty light, solution - drill it out and stuff full of lead! The logo covers it all at the top. I actually repacked it and got it up to 180 grams, sweet.

    And dirty bay...
    IMG_4008.jpg

    Clean bay! Need to brush or paint the valve cover and sort out the rust on the wiper arms/levers.
    IMG_4743.jpg

    I painted the faded black paint on the quarter window surround, they where back to the white in some areas;
    IMG_4756.jpg

    Some new goodies to go in: clutch master, slave cyl, one shot clutch line ( super short RHD version), Oil filter sandwich plate, new belts and a fresh ground wire to replace the po's speaker cable in the engine bay lol.
    Oh and Raybrigs of course! My stock lights have lost a lot of chrome and are pretty poor looking, these should help bump up the light with some better globes.

    It was well and truly time for better tyre's and there isn't much around here for 14's. The 15's also fill the arch gap slightly whilst allowing a bit more ground clearance whilst still looking good. Not sure if I'll regret the white when i'm constantly cleaning brake dust off em hah. 15x7 et+35 with 195/50

    I rolled the guards too prob not necessary with that width and offset but better than getting a slice in my new tyres.

    There's a frikin leaf hanging out the door, woops.
