RS Products HVAC Panel + Knobs w/ free control unit!

Bought this this recently but decided against installing it. No good reason, just decided to stay stock.

The pieces are in excellent condition (1 miniscule nick on bottom of the fan knob, pictured) and beautifully made. The knobs are anodized aluminum and replace your current knobs. The face is attached on top of the stock face. And I'm pretty sure they don't make this particular style anymore. Gives the HVAC Panel a really clean, simple look. Just trying to get what I paid for it. Consider the HVAC unit itself a freebie. Haven't tested it, but I have reason to believe it doesn't work.

    $190 SHIPPED! OBO!

how did you get the A/C button to stay in depressed? I must have an older version because mine wont stay locked into place so I had to get creative with some thin double sided tape on the inside of that button area

I've had the same problem with both NA6's. The setup did work on a spare HVAC controller unit that I'm going to swap in since ever trick I've ever tried hasn't lasted and I end up reverting back to the stock dial and/ or button. . Would love to know if anyone's got a real solve.

    PS: THANKS FOR THE STICKERS!!

Wished this was the silver version! Great price.

Hmm I am running the RS Product AC button and it seems to stay depressed when I press it. Yours don't stay down?

Looking at it now, this also doesn't seem to stay depressed. There must be a trick to it...

So it seems a lot of us have these problems, and here I was thinking it was just me ;). I've faced two issues:

    1. dial won't engage making it impossible to increase/ decrease the air flow. Fix? keep the stock button in the car, swap it out when parked to set the right level.. swap the pretty RS one back in.. carry on.
    2. button can be pressed in to turn on AC but can't be depressed to switch it off. Also had the opposite issue where button can be pressed in but doesn't engage AC. Fix? same as the above.

<sigh> Such a beautiful piece but functionally disappointing. Its the same on both the Smurf and BRG but as noted the silver set seemed to work perfectly on the control unit it came on (from an NA8 I believe). When I get around to swapping it in will do some inspection and see if I can come up with anything more scientific to explain what the issue is.

Well this one definitely works on the fan control. Its just the AC button that doesn't stay. Maybe someone w/o AC wants it???

Well I solved our problem with the AC button! And it was, frankly, embarrassingly simple. The problem was that the button has a divot for the unit's button to fit into, but the divot is too deep, so it doesn't allow the switch to bottom out. So I just took a small scrap of cardboard, wadded it up and jammed it there, leaving enough room for the unit's button to still engage with the RS button. Also make sure your fan knob is on all the way (as pointed out) sort of for the same reason.

    Solved!

That said, this guy is now only $150!!! SHIPPED!!!

I wanted to confirm that what looks like little white dings all around this thing are indeed simply dust that caught the light. This is in great shape.

    Bump!
