JCCS 2017 - new and improved with NA's

JCCS is a spectacular event and this year they will be celebrating Mazda's 50th anniversary (as well as the 510's, ahem). Its limited to pre/on 1985 Japanese models (or first manufactured on/ before 1985. For the Miata's 25th they made an exception and again this year its being called out as an "invited model" along with a few others.

    Mazda MX-5 Miata 1st gen (NA Mark 1 – ’89 to ’97)
    Mazda RX-7 FC (’85 to ’88) 2nd gen
    Honda CR-X (’87 to ’91) 2nd gen
    Mitsubishi Gallant (’87 to “91) 6th gen
    TOYOTA Celica (’85 to’89) 4th gen
All Daihatsu models up to ’89

For anyone that's in or near SoCal in September I'd highly recommend it. Hoping to see if we can get a good contingent of NA's out on display.

If I wasn't going to MRLS and could afford the additional trip I would be there in a heartbeat.

They haven't disclosed a cutoff date as far as I can tell but apparently in the past they've had limits to how many of a particular model they allow. Once you submit a registration with the required photos and acknowledge certain things that will result in exclusion (cracked windscreen, etc) there's a cryptic "we'll get back to you and let you know" kind of confirmation.

Oh, and be prepared to do a ~150 word write up on you car.

One day I'll go to JCCS. Just not in the cards this year.
