I'm baaaaaack! Well, sort of. No power, wonderful 4G LTE keeps timing out worse than early 90's AOL dial-up. That night was terrifying. When I came out of my makeshift bunker, to my horror I found this:

I'm back, sorry for the delay, my back is sore from helping the neighbors put up hurricane shutters and then taking them down. I forgot how freaky these hurricanes can be. It was a CAT2 when it passed by us. I'm very tired but all is good, thanks everybody for the support

I'm out of blackout as well. We weren't in the direct path but the outer bands were nearly as strong as the eye of the storm. Nearly everyone has been without power in my immediate area for the past couple of days and most remain without power. No more rain-dances - I promise.

Back at work today, and checked on my car parts and Hotwheels / Lego collection, all still here and no rain damage, but I cannot tell you how stressful it was to think all my stuff would be gone and destroyed in a few minutes. I think I will be having a hurricane sale very soon to get rid of a bunch of stuff I dont need and stuff im not using...........

PR just got it much worse with Hurricane Maria, 100% total loss of power on the entire island, and due to the damages they wont get power back for several months!

It's terrible right now. You see what happened in Mexico with the earthquakes too. Praying for everyone.

This has been the season from hell. I don’t know if people remembered but Mexico got hit with a hurricane on one side and experienced a massive earthquake on the other while we were paying attention to Houston. While Irma was old news, we just got our power back a couple days ago and there are still tens of thousands without power sweltering in this heat. I feel so bad for all those seniors in Miami (Hollywood) who died from heat in one swoop.

Hurricane Maria has really devastated Puerto Rico and then another huge earthquake in Mexico along with Fukushima and Vanuato which barely got coverage. I don’t recal so much tectonic activity in such a short amount of time but maybe that movie, Pacific Rim is true.
