Awesome. I know Andy Hollis of all people was supposed to be fond of them.

Yep. You remember John (SpyHunter) from back in the day? That's his car sporting the DTC's. I used to jock on that ride SOOOOOO hard.

We've never met in person, but I follow him on Instagram and chat there occasionally. He's got a bitchin' 240Z and an impressive old Caddy these days.

Cleaned the garage today and updated the parts list to take inventory of what I've bought but have not received.

    Pics

(Didn't include any of the stuff that's sitting in the shed in the back yard because I already took pictures of that stuff when I bought it)

Bought OEM LBJ's and Tie Rod Ends. I'll be sending the Mevotechs back. The thought of dealing with a failure because I cheaped out was literally keeping me up at night.

Took a couple hours last night and got the car a little higher on its jackstands (I really need a taller jack), removed the undertray, and had a look at the subframe. Well, no reason to bother measuring it:

Also hit a snag when I couldn't get the driver's side long bolt out, so I hit it with some Liquid Wrench and called it a night.

Annoyingly, though, I cracked the screen protector on my phone. Dang it.

    Progress is good.

Apologies if I gave you anxiety about the LBJs.

The long bolt can be stubborn to remove.

It's ok. Pretty much anything doubtful practically sends me into a panic.

That long bolt is kind of typical. Everyone says "oh yeah, it takes only a couple minutes to get it out", but it takes me hours or even days to do what people claim only takes minutes. Not having proper tools probably has something to do with it.

Everybody starts somewhere. I think about a lot of jobs I botched or took forever, but I learned from them and moved forward. It’s all part of the learning experience, builds confidence and knowledge.

It's funny...I haven't really turned a wrench on this thing in years. In all seriousness, the suspension I'm taking off was put on (by me) almost a DECADE ago.

Bryan, are you saying the subframe is bent? If so, check your oil pan as the clearance is tight. I had to replace my oil pan when I replaced my subframe. Of course, I think my car had more suspension damage and less body damage. Don't worry how long things take for others. I think most people forget just how long things take, or maybe they want to sound super agile?
