Soft top seams losing their threads.

    Hey guys,

Just took possession of my new 2000 SE. Yes!

Many of the seams on the soft top are loosing their threads. I have an upholstery needle, but I can't pierce the vinyl. Do you think a pro can do it by hand; without removing the top?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

You can try a sewing awl. I use one to repair top stitching on seats/repair split seams. Fabric stores like Joann Fabrics carry them and alternative needles (diameters) along with different threads and colors for the job. Can you post an image?

Not for a week or so, my neighbor who owns a swell digital camera is out of town for a bit.

I might try drilling with my Dremel tool.
